A crowd might watch a man cross a tightrope with a wheelbarrow and confidently say they believe he can make it across. But believing in him would mean climbing into the wheelbarrow and trusting him to carry you.

Jesus makes the same distinction when it comes to faith. Knowing who He is, agreeing with what Scripture says, or believing that He has the power to save is not the same as surrendering your life to Him.

Repentance is where belief becomes personal. It is the moment you stop merely believing about Jesus and begin trusting Him as Lord.

Prayer shouldn’t be your emergency button. 👀 Talk to God when life is hard. Talk to Him when life’s good. Talk to Him when nothing big is happening at all.

He wants a relationship, not just a 911 call.

One of the devil’s most effective deceptions is convincing people that believing ABOUT Jesus is the same thing as believing IN Him.

You can believe Jesus existed, agree with what He taught, admire His life, and even know the gospel without ever placing your trust in Christ. Scripture warns that the enemy works to blind people from seeing and believing the truth, because he knows what is at stake.

Death is unpredictable, eternity is real, and there is no wisdom in assuming you'll always have more time to decide what you believe about Jesus.

👉🏽 Have you actually placed your faith in Him? 🤔

Some of the people Jesus describes being rejected on Judgment Day will have what appears to be an impressive Christian résumé.

They'll point to preaching, ministry, and works performed in His name as evidence that they belong in the kingdom, but Jesus will answer with the words no religious person ever expects to hear: “I never knew you.”

So it’s worth asking whether you’re content with simply looking “spiritual enough,” or whether you actually know Christ.
