Greetings from the city of Saltillo, in Coah. Mexico FB Friends, "how good and how pleasant it is when brethren dwell together in unity". We have seen and enjoyed the truth of this passage from a psalm of David the last three days among Christian leaders here in this city. The very first leadership seminar of HPIM was held here 30 years ago ... The invitation came from Natan Casas, a young pastor we met during a Short-term Mission van guard trip. The invitation for this trip also came from Natan ... How much we've all grown in our knowledge of God and His Kingdom these past many years ... Seeing His faithfulness and goodness in so many ways ... Pressing in to His grace and mercy during difficult times ... Learning to trust Him more and more ... And this was a time to celebrate, a Reunion of long time friends, joined by new leaders that we are delighted to build friendship with!
We spoke to the leaders about their personal character ... Which is developed and maintained through personally receiving and knowing the Love of God. Together we rejoiced over and over in response to His Love revealed ... It's been a beautiful time for the HPIM team and for the leaders attending.
Today we will be speaking in two of the churches in the city, enjoying our last day in Saltillo. Tomorrow the others on the team will be planning toward their travel back home, while we (Don n Lois) travel south to the region hard hit by the earthquakes. Meeting with leaders in one city for a scheduled seminar and spending time with others to support, encourage and determine ways HPIM can be of help; currently and long term in their recovery and rebuilding. We ask for your prayer for our time there in the state of Oaxaca, that we see clearly and hear well the message of hope and help the Lord wants us to bring them.
