The Harvest Sarasota We are an inclusive, safe place for ANYONE who is looking for a church that celebrates questions and values the beauty of God’s grace and mercy for all. LGBTQ?

If you are deconstructing your faith, we welcome you, as we are on a similar journey. Our heart is for the community of Sarasota to experience church in a whole new way. We want to cultivate a body of believers and people who are actively pastoring our city by removing the chains of religious control and church hierarchy. We believe that God is calling His people (not just the five-fold ministry),

to be the practical love of Jesus to the world around them. We LOVE ALL without any fine print. That’s right ALL! YES! DEMOCRAT? REPUBLICAN? ADDICTS? BROKEN? ATHIEST? You get the point! There is no “bait and switch” here at Harvest. Deconstruction is beautiful, especially when you know you aren’t alone. We consider ourselves a fully inclusive and affirming church for the LGBTQ+ community and believe that our LGBTQ friends deserve the same access to God as anyone else. No matter where you are in your journey of life and faith, Harvest is a place where the love is louder and the light is brighter! We miss you even if we have yet to meet! Come experience a new way of doing church in Sarasota! At The Harvest in Sarasota, you are always welcome.

On this second day of Pride month, may we invite you to let go of a version of Jesus that excludes and marginalizes and open your heart to a God that welcomes the foreigner, feeds the poor, and includes everyone.

Jesus didn’t build a machine. He built a table.

What if Jesus was bad at starting a religion because he was never trying to build a machine?

Jesus did not come with a five-year plan, a brand strategy, a headquarters, or a hustle-culture blueprint. He came with twelve friends. He came with dinners, stories, weddings, walks, children, bread, wine, and the unhurried work of connection.

At Harvest Sarasota, we are not trying to build a church that runs people over in the name of results. We are trying to follow the way of Jesus, where belonging comes before mission, connection comes before service, and people matter more than efficiency.

Because things can grow and still be unhealthy. Things can work and still wound people. Things can look impressive and still have nothing to do with Christ.

The kingdom of God is not a machine. It is a table. It is a community. It is the slow, sacred work of being with God and with one another.
