LOVE & FRIENDSHIP SHABBAT 💕

February at SSELC was filled with warmth as we celebrated love and friendship! Rabbi Glickman led a special Shabbat with joyful songs about making new friends while cherishing the old — a beautiful reminder of what community means.

We also honored Miss Elaine’s incredible 31 years at SSELC with a joyful school-wide circle dance! The celebration continued with ice cream, friendship notes, and lots of smiles. It was truly a magical day! ✨

Happy Winter Break! As we roll into 2026, we wanted to share these adorable photos of our SSELC students learning about Chanukah. We read the story of Chanukah and the mighty Judah and his Macaabees. We sang songs, ate latkes with applesauce and sufganiot (jelly donuts), spun dreidels, lit the candles, and created unique Chanukah crafts to bring home to commemorate this most festive and bright holiday. Our dramatic play areas were also filled with everything the children needed to reenact the story of Chanukah, as well as Chanukiyot and dreidels.
