NATIVIDADE DA BEM-AVENTURADA VIRGEM MARIA — 8 DE SETEMBRO

A Igreja Católica celebra hoje com alegria o nascimento da Bem-Aventurada Virgem Maria, filha de São Joaquim e Santa Ana.

Embora a Bíblia não relate diretamente o nascimento de Maria, esta celebração faz parte da antiga tradição da Igreja. Seu nascimento é contemplado como um acontecimento cheio de esperança, porque Maria foi preparada por Deus para uma missão única: ser a Mãe de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo e cooperar com o plano de salvação.

Maria é para nós um exemplo de humildade, obediência e confiança absoluta em Deus. Sua vida nos ensina que, quando abrimos o coração ao Senhor e respondemos com um verdadeiro “sim”, Deus pode realizar grandes coisas através de nós.

Hoje agradecemos a Deus pelo dom de Maria e pedimos que, como ela, saibamos levar Cristo em nosso coração e compartilhá-Lo com o mundo.

NATIVIDAD DE LA SANTÍSIMA VIRGEN MARÍA — 8 DE SEPTIEMBRE

La Iglesia Católica celebra hoy con alegría el nacimiento de la Santísima Virgen María, hija de San Joaquín y Santa Ana.

Aunque la Biblia no relata directamente el nacimiento de María, esta celebración forma parte de la antigua tradición de la Iglesia. Su nacimiento es contemplado como un acontecimiento lleno de esperanza, porque María fue preparada por Dios para una misión única: ser la Madre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo y cooperar con el plan de salvación.

María es para nosotros ejemplo de humildad, obediencia y confianza absoluta en Dios. Su vida nos enseña que cuando abrimos el corazón al Señor y respondemos con un verdadero “sí”, Dios puede hacer grandes cosas a través de nosotros.

Hoy damos gracias a Dios por el don de María y le pedimos que, como ella, sepamos llevar a Cristo en nuestro corazón y compartirlo con el mundo.

NATIVITY OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY — SEPTEMBER 8

The Catholic Church joyfully celebrates today the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary, daughter of Saint Joachim and Saint Anne.

Although the Bible does not directly recount Mary's birth, this celebration is part of the ancient tradition of the Church. Her birth is contemplated as an event filled with hope, because Mary was prepared by God for a unique mission: to be the Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ and to cooperate in God's plan of salvation.

Mary is an example of humility, obedience, and complete trust in God. Her life teaches us that when we open our hearts to the Lord and respond with a true “yes,” God can accomplish great things through us.

🙏 Today we thank God for the gift of Mary and ask her to help us, like her, carry Christ in our hearts and share Him with the world.
