How can you anchor to God when life is full of change? 🤔⚓️

Start by anchoring yourself to your faith community! Your church, small group, and leaders can be with you in the storms you go through! ❤️ No one has to ride out the storms alone.

Think about the people you trust - friends, family, or mentors! Stay anchored to those you really care about and those who really care about you! 🙏 Don’t be afraid to ask for help.

Doom scrolling, binge watching, and toxic relationships may seem steady - or a good way of numbing how you’re really feeling. Let go of those anchors that won’t hold you steady when the storm hits! ☔️

Small groups performed skits yesterday for “Newish” Week 3! The lesson from Anita centered on when things are changing in our lives, God is the constant as He never changes! 🙏

The skits focused on James Chapter 1, as we acted out a scene where we were surrounded by troubled waters! 🌊🤣 Of course, the groups were very creative with it!

Practice allows us to change a little bit each day!

Practice praying! 🙏 Talk to God just as you would talk to others in your life. Talk about what you’re doing, how you’re doing, and ask for encouragement - don’t be afraid to be completely honest! 😇

Practice hearing! 🧏👂 Think about how God can and has communicated to you! Is it through others? Through prayer? Through reading scripture? Through the things you do? 📖

Practice talking! 🗣️ Speak to people your trust about wherever you’re at in your faith journey. The people who care about you can help you change and grow with just a conversation! 📈

Practice living! 😎 When you prioritize praying, listening, and talking, you will be more open to discovering the things you can do to live like Jesus did!
