Another spectacular day at New Beginnings. Our local mission team for this weekend filled out. We are serving an employee of The Haven working on her home. The love and compassion of the various teams led her to desire to go on our mission trip with us to Red Bird this fall! Way to go New Beginnings. Our Outreach Team is working on a long-distance baby shower for our sister church in Cuba as the pastoral family is preparing for the arrival of their 2nd child. The generosity of these folks is amazing. Finally, we collected a special offering this spring. We call it our Compassion offering which we collect on Palm Sunday. We divide the cost with 50% to mission work and 50% to help us get that building up. We were able to send over $3000 to 2 GMC churches food pantries in our area and a third check to the community food bank "Mayor's Feed the Hungry." Our little church has sent about $16k in food pantry funds to feed those in need since January. Couldn't be more blessed.
