Borrowed from another group❤️

My father once told me that a smooth stone didn't start out smooth in the first place. Jagged trials, shattered dreams and rough tumbling waters smashed and broke and rounded the stone until finally, one day, MANY years after; the stone was smooth, beautiful and precious.

Think about this story I just told you, then replace the stone with YOU 🙂

This is the story now:
My Father once told me that I wouldn't start out perfect, whole or 'smooth'. Jagged trials, shattered dreams and rough tumbling waters smashed, bruised and broke me, until finally, one day, MANY years after, I was made whole again. When I finally saw myself for who I truly am; beautiful, whole and precious; I realized that sometimes we HAVE to go through the hard times in order to come out WHO God intended us to be.

WE are EACH sons and daughters of a living God. He won't always take your trials from you, BUT I can promise you that He WILL strengthen you. ESPECIALLY in those times that you feel drowned, smashed, bruised and broken.

This is the way that I have chosen to tell my version of the story😊
We each have a unique one!
If you would like, I would love to hear yours!

How have YOU been changed by YOUR trails?!

Borrowed...but VERY relevant 😇

A few days ago a Kentucky garbage man noticed no trash cans were being put out at an elderly woman's house on his route for two straight weeks. He was concerned enough to share the address with his supervisor. She found the name of the woman at the address and called her: “Ms. Smith, we noticed you haven't put out your cans for a while. Are you ok?” Ms. Smith replied: “I’m ok. But my caretaker was so afraid of the virus that she stopped coming. I can’t get to the store. I don’t have any trash because I’ve run out of food. And I don’t have any family to help me.” After a long pause, the caller said: “You do now. We are your family.”

She let her truck driver know of the sad news. The next day, on his day off, he knocked on her door and asked her to make up a grocery list. “Ms. Smith— the list is too short.” She added a few more items. “Ms. Smith, this list is still too short. Would you mind if I looked into your fridge?” She relented. He opened the fridge and it was bare. Empty.

An hour later, he brought in dozens of bags of groceries for a woman he hardly knew.

Tears. An air-hug that met social distancing protocol. And the garbage man walked out of the house of this woman who was physically immobile, but levitating. A garbage man decided he’d reach out to someone and church broke out. His supervisor shared the creed with this elderly woman: “You have a family now.”

I miss our services of worship. I miss that it’s silent now. I'm sick to my stomach we had to push back are start-back date to gather.

But church? Church is happening all around us. It’s a phone-call. It’s a bag of groceries. It happens anytime someone tells another person who is Jesus in his best disguise: “You have a family now.” Real church is not defined by a service of worship, but by servants of Christ.

Keep being church. That’s all you have to do.

Came across this story, thought I’d share....great reminder!

I was at Walmart last night and heard a loud crash and something shattering. Being nosy, I walked towards the sound and saw some people whispering and looking back to the end of the next aisle. When I walked down that aisle, I saw that an older lady had hit a shelf and many things had fallen to the ground and broken. She was kneeling on the floor embarrassed, frantically trying to clean up. I felt so bad for her. Every one was just standing there staring at her. So I went and knelt beside her and told her not to worry and started helping her pick up the broken pieces. After about a minute, the store manager came and knelt beside us and said, “Leave it, we will clean this up.” The lady, totally embarrassed said, “I need to pay for all this.” The manager smiled, helped her to her feet and said, “No ma’am, we have insurance for this, you do not have to pay anything!” If you have read this far, give me another minute. Wherever you are, close your eyes, and imagine God doing the same for you! Imagine the broken pieces of your mistakes or the pieces of your broken heart from all the blows life has thrown at you all over the floor and you’re there trying to collect all of the pieces and fix them yourself. Now imagine God comes and kneels right down beside you, smiles and says to you, “Leave it all there, We will clean this up for you.” He loves you that much and wants to put all of those pieces back together if you will let Him! With Him we have this insurance and it’s called GRACE! It’s free! All you have to do is ask Him to forgive you, help you, and to heal you. He’s faithful, I promise! 🙂

Please copy, paste, and share this like I did. Someone somewhere needs to hear it. ❤️
