Temple Baptist Church has moved to a new location. We are having services in the clubhouse at Camelot Lakes Village off of Ghantt Road and our morning service begins at 10:00 am. If you would like to attend one of our services you can let the guard at the gate know you are there for church. They will let you enter the property and you will find us in the first building on the left. We look forward to your visit. If you want to call us our new number is 941-685-3449.

Much has transpired throughout the course of the past year. As you know, our church home has been located at the corner of Wilkinson and McIntosh Roads for a number of decades. Recently, our congregation agreed to sell this property to the Hershorin Schiff Community Day School. The new owners have completed their capital improvement plan and are now operating their school at this location.

Part of the sales agreement made an allowance for us to continue having our church services here on a temporary basis. We are seeking the Lord’s guidance as He directs us to a site where we can establish our new home. Until that time we will meet here in the church sancturay just as we have done these past years. We will no longer have a mid-week service on Wednesday evenings but our Sunday schedule remains the same.

9:30 am - Sunday School
10:15 am - Sunday Morning Service
6:00 pm - Sunday Evening Service

If you are looking for a church home or would just like to visit an Old-fashioned, Independent, Fundamental Baptist Church we would be honored to have you come to one of our services.

What a great day. We resumed services after a two month break and it was wonderful to gather together and collectively worship the Lord with our church family.

Our text was Psalm 122:1 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.

We are excited about resuming services this Sunday, May 24th and are looking forward to being together with our church family again.

It was a great blessing to have Dr. Tim Schmig and his wife Sue in our services yesterday for our American Heritage Sunday. Contrary to public opinion, our nation was founded upon the Judeo-Christian principles in the Word of God and that truth was clearly demonstrated in all three of our services. We appreciate Brother Schmig’s uncompromising stand for Christ and his commitment to educating others about our Nation’s history and its undeniable ties to God’s Word. We thank the Lord so many of America’s founding fathers were committed to having a nation that honors Him.

Psalm 33:12 “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD”

Today was our Faith Promise Sunday and we were privileged to have Dr. John O’Malley as our guest speaker. It was a great blessing as he addressed the Biblical principle of faith giving throughout our three services. It was also a joy for Mrs. O’Malley to be present during his stay.

Wow. Sunday was an amazing day. Stephanie Wesco gave her testimony and shared with us the details of her husband’s murder in Cameroon, the challenges they faced following that event, and God’s great grace through it all. We also learned of her current ministry to those dealing with PTSD. What a joy to see the Lord working so marvelously in and through their lives. An additional blessing was the family’s special music. Among the songs they sang were two that were written by Dr. Carragher and Stephanie. Brother Carragher preached from Galatians 6 on God’s healing power as we minister to others. After the morning service we enjoyed a meal and fellowship followed by a special Christmas celebration for the Wescos. We were saddened by their departure but know God has great things in store for these dear folks in the coming days.

We are looking forward to a special day this coming Sunday, December the 15th. Stephanie Wesco and her children we be in our services along with Doug & Debbie Carragher. Stephanie will share her testimony and discuss her ministry to those struggling with PTSD. In the morning service Dr. Carragher, General Director of Armed Forces Baptist Missions, will be giving an update on their Wounded Spirits ministry and then preaching. We are praying God will move in a great way in the hearts and lives of everyone present.

Psalm 116:17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.

We have much to be thankful for. The wondrous gift of salvation, a Christian family, a godly church family, and a great nation to name just a few. We are so grateful for the privilege of serving the Lord here in Sarasota and look forward to God’s continued blessings in the coming days.

Today was an especially blessed day here at TBC. We celebrated our church’s 54th anniversary along with the dedication of our newly renovated auditorium. To help us do so Pastor David Landers of Gateway Baptist Church in Rising Sun, MD was our guest speaker and his messages were a great blessing and challenge to everyone present. Following the morning service we met together for fellowship and a delicious meal. We concluded our special day with an afternoon service which included singing, testimonies, and a video presentation of the entire remodeling project. We are grateful for everyone who was in attendance and appreciate Pastor Landers and his wife Judy adding to the day’s activities.
