Im saddened to announce that the Michigan H**p Farmer Association will be closing its doors after 16 years of service to the Michigan H**p industry. Our Michigan H**p Farmer Association was established in 2009 by the Brown family of Saranac, Mi. It was honor to be the very 1st federally licensed Michigan h**p farmer in Michigan since 1937. Unfortunately I have a traumatic brain injury with suspected CTE and need to put most of our families attention to my health. We will continue to maintain this page for educational and information purposes. We will continue to have the annual Michigan H**p Festival until I can no longer do it. And ill do what I can as a h**p pioneer and advocate as long as possible. Such an incredible part of my life serving the Michigan H**p industry. Thank all of you so much. As I begin writing the book on the MMM ACT kill ill be sharing and asking questions. Lots of questions. To kill the MMM act you need 2/3 majority of the legislative body to overturn it. Thats going to take alot of money and people. Last years recreational cannabis sales exceeded 10 billion dollars. So corporate cannabis has plenty of cash to get the job done. The cash is the fuel that powers the tools that are needed to get the job done. Here are some of the tools we will identify today. 1. Lobbyists 2. Lawmakers 3. Law enforcement 4. Muscle (criminal organizations) 5. Lawyer's 6. Paid for cannabis activist (organizations) 7. The Media 8. Banks 9. Other competing Corporate Cannabis (MSO) 10. Trade organizations 11. Unions 12. H**p organizations. 13. Real-estate companies. 14. Cannabis/h**p event companies. 15. Anonymity/Secrecy These are the core group of tools that corporate cannabis will need to kill the MMM ACT. These are not in any kind of order. And please feel free to comment additional tools and ill consider adding them to the book. Remeber it takes 2/3 majority to kill it so this is an investment and needed expense for corporate cannabis so we will be given the opportunity to track the money trails. The lobbying money can be tracked through the corporate cannabis financial disclosures, the Lobbyists they pay and through there members spending. We will use a former federal investigator to teach us how to look deeper in the near future. Like i said its a big investment for these folks. There will be money trails to follow. I keep being asked who corporate cannabis is, this is most likley so they can use my words to shut my investigation and book down. So from today forward corporate cannabis is defined as any organization that is not privately owned and operated and represented solely by the person or people on their State of Michigan license required to operate legally in Michigan. We will refere to those privately owned cannabis companies as mom and pops cannabis companies. Some will also be defined as legacy cannabis companies when we refere to independent companies that were established before 2018. In closing a mom and pop shop or legacy cannabis company by definition can still be corporate scum. They could be directly or indirectly working with corporate cannabis assisting in the kill. So conservative Christians are giving me hell for showing any support against a tax hike on recreational cannabis. I was reminded that we have been strickly for the MMM act and patients since 2009. Im sorry I didnt make time to vet this before posting it. Let explain why I shared this pro corporate cannabis position on the tax hike. I have family and friends who are in the corporate cannabis industry. I love them. I listened to them explain thousand of people will be laid off, shops will have to close and customers will get stuck with the bill. I had a knee jerk reaction and shared the post. It was the hundreds of folks who reached out through social media to remind me we Conservative Christians 4 Cannabis Reform is strickly a patient advocacy organization. I still think the tax is ridiculous. I should of stayed in the proper lane and stayed out of it. I agree we cannot serve two masters. CC4CR dont take any money from corporate cannabis. We have never attended a corporate cannabis event. We do not hang out or promote anything corporate cannabis. I have declined many well paying corporate cannabis jobs. No one in our organization is tied into corporate cannabis. We have been stake holders in the Michigan cannabis industry since 2009 and despite us having family and friends in the corporate cannabis industry we keep a professional distance. This is the only incident that has occured. Our mission is to continue to participate in the MMM act and continue to gift patients medication at $0 or almost no cost in most cases. This is only possible because of the MMM act and its gifting protections and Christian men and women caregivers generosity. We have been from day 1 and continue to be the only 100% Michigan patient advocacy group. We are dedicated to the patients and to protecting the MMM act so those patients have safe reliable access to free medication. As god commands, we cannot serve two masters. We serve patients. People who are mostly poor and dont have a voice or the money to fight for their rights. I made a mistake and im sorry. But i must say I never support any tax. I spoke out on a personal level out of personal feelings. This wont happen again. We must protect the CG patient program that gave corporations the right to even have a legal cannabis buisness. Truth be told we dont believe that the tax will close shops and mass layoffs are coming because of the tax. The corporate folks have all the money and power. Enough power they can get seasoned activist and self proclaimed cannabis activist organizations to show up and fight for their buisnesses. So dont worry. Our corporate brothers and sisters are still going to get rich. They wont miss a meal and they will continue to smoke the fire while they sell the boof. It is what it is. I pray they continue to make millions and millions just as they have done since day 1. However if you are a sick patient I recommend you get a medical cannabis card and grow for yourself or get a good caregiver. There are many out there that arent making millions in the corporate recreational market. But if you have money to burn and no time to grow like so many in Michigan then hit up your local dispo. There are some goid ones I can recommend. We are not against the corporate cannabis industry. They have the money and the power so we will do our best to protect sick patients through the MMM act. In closing, as an industry leader since 2009 I was able to be in the know. And I definitely know there are folks actively working on killing the MMM act. No more caregivers and 3 plant limits are the best these folks want to give non corporate people. Just as my friend Rick Thompson would say, " no changes to the Michigan Caregiver program". The corporate folks are coming after the CG program. Join the fight that my friend Rick Thompson fought with me and our Conservative Christians. Protect the CG program. There is plenty of customers in Michigan. Dont let the corporations steel away the rights the the CG program gave them the ability to make millions off from. God bless the patients and
