A joint memorial service for Marsha Potter and Connie Mitchell will be held on Thursday, June 25, at 1:00 PM.

Marsha and Connie were lifelong housemates and friends, and both previously attended church here. Marsha passed away on February 7, and Connie passed away on May 17.

We invite their friends to join us as we share memories, give thanks, and celebrate their lives.

The service will take place in the chapel building, the old church building, located at 5110 W. Portland Rd., Lake Odessa.

Please note that no luncheon is planned, so guests should plan accordingly.

It's been a few weeks, but here's Pastor Bart's latest blog post: https://bartdenny.blogspot.com/.../stay-connected-why... This post comes from the first installment of our latest sermon series, "Created to Connect," which takes visual inspiration from LEGOs (and similar products).

We're excited about this weekend's Easter Sunrise Service at 7:30 AM, followed by breakfast and then a 10 AM worship service. We can use some help setting up the Ebenezer Center for the Sunrise Service on Thursday evening (April 2) between 6 pm and 8 pm. If you join us on Thursday night, you'll receive the added bonus of hearing Sunday morning's worship team practicing!

Most of us know what it feels like to be evaluated.

At work. At school. Online. Even in church.

Over time, we start tying our identity to performance. Am I succeeding? Am I respected? Am I right?

But what if Jesus settles your identity before you ever perform?

In John 13, before He commands His disciples to serve, Jesus kneels and washes their feet. Before there’s mission… there’s belonging. Before there’s obedience… there’s cleansing. Before there’s “go and do”… there’s “let Me wash you.”

Check out the new blog post from our Upper Room series titled:

“Fully Known. Fully Loved: Identity Shaped by the Servant King.”

If you’ve ever wrestled with insecurity, performance-driven faith, or the question, “If I were fully known… would I still be loved?” — this one’s for you.

You can read it here: https://bartdenny.blogspot.com/2026/02/by-bart-denny-most-of-us-know-what-it.html

Before you ever pick up the towel… let Jesus wash you first.

Fully known. Fully loved.

When life hurts, we naturally ask “Why?”
But what if God’s deepest work in suffering isn’t giving us answers, but revealing who He is?

This week’s blog post, “Meeting God in the Whirlwind: Trusting Him When Answers Never Come,” is adapted from a recent sermon at Pathway Church and reflects on God’s response to Job—not with explanations, but with presence.

If you’re walking through unanswered questions, long silence, or a season where faith feels stretched, I hope this encourages you to keep trusting the God who meets us even when clarity doesn’t come.

Joy Comes in the Morning

Some of the hardest seasons in life don’t arrive as a crisis. They come quietly, when everything looks normal on the outside but feels heavy on the inside.

In this blog post, Pastor Bar reflects on Psalm 30 and what Scripture teaches us about the dark night of the soul, honest faith, and the hope that God still speaks the final word.

If you’re waiting for morning or walking with someone who is, we hope this encourages you.
