Located at Church and Main Streets in Saranac Lake, in the heart of the Adirondacks, Saint Luke’s is a faithful community of Christians. Founded in 1878, throughout its long history the parish has welcomed all persons; we seek to practice what St. Benedict taught his monks and their households: “All guests who present themselves are to be welcomed as Christ” (Rule of Benedict 53:1). Our parish is

centered on the worship of God and is committed to embracing all who come here with the love of Christ and to responding abundantly to the needs of our community and our world. Rite II Eucharist

“I always worried someone would notice me, and then when no one did, I felt lonely.” — Curtis Sittenfeld

It's a feeling many of us know. We carry burdens, worries, and struggles, but often don't know how to talk about them—or even how to ask for help.

That's why we've put a new chalkboard outside the church that simply asks:

**"Today I need prayers for..."**

You don't have to share your whole story. You don't have to explain. Just write a word, a name, a hope, a fear, or a prayer.

Because none of us is meant to carry life's challenges alone. And even when it's hard to ask, know that we are here to pray with you and for you, lifting your concerns to God with love and care.

If you pass by, take a moment to add your prayer request—or pray for someone else's. Together, we can remind one another that we are seen, known, and never alone. 💙

Meetings resume on Wednesday 06/03/26 at 9:00 in the parlor of the Baldwin House for discussion of chapters 2 and 3. Bring your own coffee or tea!

Permaculture Presentation
John Radigan, chair of our Adult Christian Formation commission, will be giving a presentation in the parish hall on Wednesday, 06/10/26 at 7:00pm. He writes, "Permaculture has been called ‘a quiet revolution’ in the way we perceive and relate to nature and society, a shift in perspective that challenges our entire social and economic system and provides a practical way for us to show ‘reverence for the earth as your own creation.’ (BCP, p. 388) In this way Permaculture is an aspect of Adult Christian Formation."

💬Please send us a message if you have any questions about these events. Everyone is welcome!
