Thank you for your interest in the Early Learning Center at Saraland United Methodist Church. The Early Learning Center (ELC) opened in the fall of 2008 with three classes for preschool age children. We have since grown in students and staff. The ELC currently offers preschool classes for toddlers (must be walking) through 5 year olds (not yet eligible for Kindergarten). The ELC is designed to off
er creative, hands-on learning for our students. We use a variety of resources and are working to develop our own unique curriculum. Our children are involved in music, art, language, math and Bible studies on a daily basis. We also focus on social skills such as sharing, listening to and following instructions, helping our friends, tolerance and conflict resolution. Our main goal is to teach our children to be Christ-like and to help them develop a love of learning. Saraland United Methodist Church is a Safe Sanctuary congregation. That means that every person that works with children or youth has been trained and a back ground check has been completed. The safety of our children is a high priority!
