You are invited to the Seeds of Legacy annual July 4th celebration!

When: Saturday 7/5, starting at 5p
Where: 5468 W 85th St, Tulsa

What to bring: Ice chest with beverage(s) of your choice (bottled water provided), lawn chairs, bug spray, towels for the kids, etc.

Come and enjoy hot dogs, fixings and sides and a fantastic firework show!

There will also be corn hole, yard games and a water inflatable for the kids.

Join us for a fun, relaxing time!

Have you ever had a certain thing you felt strongly about but you couldn’t quite find the words to describe why? I have always thought that one of the best life lessons my mom ever taught me was “Life is not fair,” but I couldn’t fully explain why. As I was reading for one of my college classes, it said one of the key components to aging successfully throughout the lifespan is RESILIENCE.

Aha moment! That’s why it was so important! Resilience causes us to bounce back from situations that could potentially knock us out. Thus it is an extremely adaptable life skill! Even when things didn’t go like I thought they would, I can still live in gratitude for the many blessings I do have and be flexible enough to believe that life will present new opportunities. So resilience garners GRATITUDE and FLEXIBILITY - two other wonderful life skills for high quality of life. (Thank you, Mom!! ❤️)

So let me encourage you, friend, life may not be fair. It may have dealt you a cold blow. But God is still good! What you appreciate (receive with thankfulness) will appreciate (increase in value) and new opportunities are around the corner if your eyes are open to see them!

Kristi taught yesterday on the importance of COMMUNITY. A timely word! We absolutely need Jesus and Christ is meant to be revealed through his people. There is strength in the connection of community for this journey called life! ❤️
