Happy Saturday Friends!
Some of you have asked about the work going on in Sacramento. The Lord is blessing the work. We have the permits renewed. Lordwilling, we will pass all of our required rough-in inspections next week. The drywall is scheduled to be finished by 11/6. Next is trim, paint and flooring… 😀

In case you don’t know me by now, let me tell you what is coming next: A work day-week! 🎉

We plan to have a work week starting 11/13 - 11/19 on the Sacramento chapel. The address is: 4861 63rd Street, Sacramento, CA 95820.

We will be focusing on installing doors, trim, flooring, building and installing cabinets, maybe some paint, sanding, floor prep, and HVAC equipment install.

I know it is a lot to ask. I’m not even asking, just letting you know because of the interest you have shown. I believe the Lord has good things in store for this place. I’m hoping we can push it forward to allow the saints to start worshipping here sometime around the first of the new year.

Currently, Southwest is running a very good sale on tickets. I’m guessing the sale will end tomorrow night. The cheapest days to fly are Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays.
The cheapest RT Tickets are roughly:
$340 from MSY, TUL, OKC
$260 from DAL
$140 from PDX or SEA
Two bags fly free. So you can bring some tools.

There is no pressure to come. I know many have busy lives - jobs, school, other charity projects. We have already been overwhelmed by the generosity of you all. May God bless you. Please pass the word to your congregations.

Good Morning Brethren,

I would like to announce a work project that Bro. Darrell Johnson and I have been planning. We are planning to work on a chapel in Sacramento that was purchased last year by faith for the work there. It has been partially burned and has a lot of smoke damage. I would like to organize a van/bus load to work on demo, reframing, replacing windows and exterior doors, and work on the exterior façade and grounds. There will be a little bit of electrical work. But mostly just troubleshooting and getting a game plan. The MEP scope of work will need to be performed by contractors in California.

Work is starting 6/22 and running through 6/27. We will have a van leaving from Oklahoma on the 20th. We will be back around 6/29. We would like to camp one night in a national park or state park on the way back.
There will be a group coming from the Oregon meeting/youth camp as well. Flights are somewhat reasonable right now. If anyone would like to give to the work or sponsor a young person to travel out there, I can get you in touch with you appropriate people.
