Requested to share by Prevention Program:

“May is asthma awareness month. Asthma can be a life-threatening chronic respiratory disease impacting thousands of adults and children in the state of New Mexico. Community members can prevent asthma attacks by addressing possible triggers affecting indoor air quality and promoting a healthier living environment. To learn more about identifying asthma triggers in the home and preventing asthma attacks, visit: Asthma Triggers: Gain Control | US EPA"

The AASTEC Tribal Healthy Homes Project team supports tribal communities to address environmental health concerns inside the home and to promote Healthy Home Principles.”

Santo Domingo Pueblo Prevention Programs works closely with Albuquerque Area Southwest Tribal Epidemiology Center for our grant, Tribal Healthy Homes and Communities Initiative. This initiative focuses on asthma, radon and stress.
