Thursday 7/23 SDSBA held the first Pastors Collab! Our mantra is “Don’t Pastor Alone!” 30 Pastors and Leaders gathered in collaborative groups to discuss how to break spiritual and numeric growth barriers and avoid building ‘Bridges to Nowhere’.
Lots of productive conversation facilitated by 4 pastors who have experience with growth. Steve Boschen, Obed Brefo, Sherwood Patterson, and Josh Martin. Special thanks to New Vision Church for hosting us and to BFCal for sponsoring our event. We hope to do this quarterly!

Enjoyed preaching and worshipping in two services with Summit Point Church, a growing, exciting church in Mira Mesa. Elisha Rimestad, Lead Pastor. A church that is touching their community with the Gospel!

Last weekend, Anne and I were blessed to be with two churches in one day, for the VBS, Illumination Station Celebration. Hilltop Baptist, Pastor Walt Hatch and Iglesia Bautista Torre Fuerte, Pastor Roberto Gutierrez.
The kids sang, quoted Scripture, Pastor Alberto preached, and we all worshipped together. The churches enjoyed a cookout afterward! I love seeing two congregations sharing a building and working together to reach Chula Vista for Christ!

Calling on all of our churches to pray for the earthquake victims of Venezuela. Pray for missionaries from Send Relief and International Mission Board who are there today.

⚠️ Families across Venezuela are living with uncertainty.

Some are searching for loved ones.
Some are grieving what has been lost.
Some are standing outside damaged homes, unsure of what tomorrow will bring.

After two powerful earthquakes struck near Venezuela’s north-central coast, communities are facing fear, loss, and ongoing aftershocks.
But in the midst of devastation, the Church is already there.

⌛ Within hours, local Baptist churches began checking on neighbors, assessing needs, and preparing to serve as places of refuge and hope.

As needs become clear, Send Relief is prepared to come alongside local churches and trusted partners with emergency assistance and long-term recovery support. These needs will likely include food, water, shelter, and more.

SEND ONE-DAY was an awesome time of inspiration, challenge and connection with San Diego planters and pastors! Gen Send Students were there as well. Chase Feindel and Will Browning brought solid messages!

Was privileged to preach for Pastor Cameron Pacheco at Compass Church yesterday! A very receptive and attentive group! Even had 2 dogs in attendance!Cameron and a mission team from Compass are in Taiwan serving with Islands Church, Pastor Andy Worcester.
