Was privileged to preach for Pastor Cameron Pacheco at Compass Church yesterday! A very receptive and attentive group! Even had 2 dogs in attendance!Cameron and a mission team from Compass are in Taiwan serving with Islands Church, Pastor Andy Worcester.

SAN DIEGO (BP) – God had to change Dan Bender’s heart when He called him to minister to Muslims more than a decade ago, Bender told Baptist Press after the murderous May 18th attack on the Islamic Center of San Diego (ICSD).

We are grieved by the tragic shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego. Beliefs may differ, yet there is a grief that is common to all of God's creation. We unite together in the face of hatred, violence and fear directed toward any group or place of worship. We pray for the families of the victims and the surrounding Muslim community. May God bring comfort, healing and peace in the middle of this horrific tragedy. 🙏🙏🙏

New Vision North County officially launched today! With a long ramp up to their rental space, Pastor Juan and Leslie Vaca developed a solid planting team in Escondido. New Vision in City Heights, Pastor Pete Contreras, is the sending church. God is on the move in San Diego!

Visited Carlton Oaks Baptist Church in Santee yesterday. Pastor Craig and Janet Barnett are well loved by the church! Solid Bible preaching from Daniel 7 on the Traits, Deeds & Demise of the enemy…and how God wins!

Enjoyed supporting Hope House, a home for unhoused teens in San Diego. This ministry of Vision church is changing the lives and direction of young people on the streets. Enjoyed partnering with Pastor Sean Beaudoin of Hope Church San Diego, Jeff Crain of Thrivent, and Randy Jones.

30 people from 8 SDSBA churches gathered this weekend at FBC Lemon Grove for Vacation Bible School training. Pastor Walt Hatch of Hilltop Baptist Church led the time along with several break out sessions. Please pray that many children this summer will respond to the Illumination Gospel theme!
