One more share from last weekend! We brought a great contingent to represent Santee UMC at the San Diego Pride Parade! What a blessing to share our message of God’s love for all our siblings in front of over 250,000 people!! We handed out fans which reminded folks that they are a beloved child of God and a person of sacred worth! 🌈

Wednesday night, members of Santee UMC attended the beautiful interfaith Light Up the Cathedral service at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral, where Pastor Jaime accepted the Light of Pride award on behalf of our church!

It was an incredible service, and inspirational to be among faith leaders across many denominations and traditions, who are all committed to fostering inclusive, affirming faith communities!

🏳️‍🌈Happy Pride, San Diego!🏳️‍⚧️ If you're on our email list, or been at church in the last few weeks, you've heard the good news that we'll be participating in a few different San Diego Pride events this week as this year's Light of Pride award recipient. We invite you to join us as you are able at one or more events!

Light Up the Cathedral - a beautiful interfaith service held at St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral (also livestreamed)

Spirit of Stonewall Rally - a time for us to honor our origins, celebrate those who are leading the way, and call our community to action around some of our movement’s most pressing issues. 535 Robinson Ave. across from The Brass Rail

San Diego Pride Parade - San Diego’s largest celebration of diversity, inclusion, and LGBTQ+ joy, attracting over 250,000 people! (also livestreamed) Please message us ASAP if you are interested in marching in our parade contingent :)
