The Caperone

The Caperone San Lorenzo Seminary is where Capuchin friars from North America and the Pacific complete their initial year of formation as novices.

The novitiate is the year of formation that occurs before a Capuchin friar takes his first vows. It is a year primarily focused on the contemplative aspects of the Capuchin Franciscan charism. Novices take part in a regular schedule of communal prayer, classes, manual labor, and ministry in the local community.

Peace and all good!
We present to you for your viewing pleasure, The Final Edition of "the Caperone" for the 2022-2023 Novitiate Class. The nine of us will leave San Lorenzo and return to our home provinces to continue our formation and pursue our vocations in the Lord.

Thank you for your continued interest and patience with us. We loved sharing our experiences here with you. It was a grace-filled year that made us ready to take the next step in our lives. Please pray for us as we profess Simple Vows in the Order.

Alleluia brothers and sisters!

Our Easter Caperone is out now! All of our Easter festivities along with our special excursions are all documented in one of our LARGEST publications of the novitiate year!

As a note, the end of our time at San Lorenzo is coming up. As such, we have decided to combine the last two months (May-June) together in one final issue of our class's Caperone. We hope to make it something of a grand finale. So stay tuned for our big finish!
