I’m headed to Omnivore Books to celebrate The Lao Kitchen, and I’m bringing my talented friend and community leader Rita from Healing Out Lao’d for an evening of thoughtful conversation, joy, and laughter. We’ll have a book signing after the talk, so bring your copy or grab one (or a few!) at the shop; it’s a perfect for gifting to friends and family.

Healing Out Lao’d is a global community and storytelling platform founded by Rita Phetmixay that centers Lao diaspora healing, storytelling, and collective growth. Omnivore Books on Food is a beloved San Francisco bookstore specializing in new and vintage food and drink books, and a hub for cookbook lovers.

The event is FREE with first come, first served seating. You can pre-order a copy for pickup at the event or purchase books on-site.

Dear Friends and Family,
It is with great saddness that we share the news of Naikham Singkeo's passing last Friday. The family invites those who wish to pay their respects to attend a small gathering at the family residence (hun dee), located at 2348 Lemur Street, Santa Rosa.

Please note that visitation will be suspended from 12/22-12/25 in observance of the holiday, resuming 12/26, with the funeral ceremony taking place on 12/27.
