Did you know that the sweet treat we all love played an important role in The Salvation Army’s history? began with the bravery of Salvation Army volunteers during WWI. These “Donut Lassies” were on the front lines, providing supplies, spiritual comfort and, of course, donuts. 🍩

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to share the word of God. The title was Uprooting bitterness and choosing forgiveness. It reminds me peace cannot grow in a heart poisoned by resentment. Forgiveness doesn’t excuse the pain, but it frees us from carrying it. When we let go of bitterness and place our hurt in God’s hands, healing, peace, and hope begin to grow again. Choose grace, choose healing, choose freedom.

Jesus did not only preach forgiveness - He demonstrated it while suffering.

We must remember,
Bitterness spreads quietly, but so does healing.
One forgiving heart can change a family.
One peaceful person can calm a conflict.
One positive attitude rooted in Christ can influence an entire community.

When we apply Scriptures like Hebrew 12:15, Ephesians 4:31-32, and Luke 23:34 we learn to:
Release resentment
Walk in forgiveness
Protect our peace
Encourage others
Reflect on the heart of Jesus

God doesn't want us chained to bitterness.
HE WANTS US FREE!!!!
