Fifth District Theme:
“Rise up!”
-This month we celebrate 105 years of ministry in the Santa Monica Community! Let us “Rise Up and Praise the Lord!” August 16 was a great celebration with our Presiding Elder Williams preaching and in the afternoon the premiere of “Rise UP!” Thanks to Carolyne Edwards, Patricia Diggs, Marisa Council and EVERYONE who
contributed to an excellent presentation of FAME Santa Monica’s story. Thanks to Leslie Aubert, Carolyne Edwards, Chinue Coaker, Londie Campbell and ALL who collaborated for an enjoyable fellowship luncheon. Praise God for the spirit of generosity during this great time of celebration.
-Today is Missionary Sunday. The Clara Bussey Women’s Missionary Society and Young People’s Division lead in worship. Kim Harrington Goff, President, Cynthia Harrington, YPD Director
-We had a powerful prayer session on yesterday. Praise God for the Prayer Warriors. Leslie Aubert, Prayer General
-Conference Claims are due September 1. Each member is assessed $250.00 twice per year. This is the second contribution and the last installment is due October 1. Thank God for the faithful stewardship of this great church.
