Northern California Association of Regular Baptist Churches Fall Bible Conference Report

The Northern California Association of Regular Baptist Churches gathered at Sierra Baptist Church in Newcastle on September 18th and 19th for their Fall Bible Conference. The featured speaker was Jon Jenks, President of Baptist Church Planters, who presented a series of impactful sessions on the theme "Turning a Fortress into a Staging Ground."

In addition to the conference teaching, the attending pastors had the unique privilege of participating in two ordination councils.

The first council convened on Thursday afternoon for Paul Sanftner, who is preparing to enter the Air Force Reserve as a chaplain.

The second was held on Friday afternoon for Paul Varenkamp, Associate Pastor at Sierra Baptist Church.

Both candidates were examined and unanimously recommended to their churches for ordination.

On Sunday, September 21st, Pastor Randy Pollard led his congregation at Sierra Baptist Church in a special service to ordain both men to the Gospel ministry.
