Welcome to Temple Beth El, a Reform Jewish congregation serving the central coast from Santa Maria since 1969. We worship on Shabbat using the traditional prayers of our Jewish heritage in the comfortable environment of our synagogue's sanctuary. Services begin at 7:30 p.m. every Friday. Our services are led by a permanent part-time rabbi, Rabbi Dov Gottesfeld, and qualified lay leaders. We welcom

e interfaith families. We offer regular education programs and Saturday morning Torah studies. Join our Temple Beth El Community

On Monday, September 22nd at 7:00 pm, Student Rabbi Erin Wyner will lead an Erev Rosh Hashanah service. Afterwards, President Raul Medina will lead a Rosh Hashanah seder, around 9:00 pm.

On Tuesday, September 23rd at 10:00 am. Student Rabbi Erin Wyner will lead a service for Rosh Hashanah (Day 1). Please contact Anita F. if you would like to do a reading or have an honor for any High Holiday service.

Then, at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, September 23rd, we will meet at the end of the Hartford Pier in San Luis Obispo for Tashlich. NOTE: The 101 N exit for Avila Beach is closed for repair; please use the next one. Please bring bread (or an alternative) for your family to toss.

On Wednesday, September 24th at 10:00 am, Student Rabbi Erin Wyner will lead a service for Rosh Hashanah (Day 2)

On Friday, September 26th at 7:30 pm, Anita Friedman will lead a Shabbat service for Shabbat Shuvah

On Wednesday, October 1st at 7:00 pm, Student Rabbi Erin Wyner will lead a service for Kol Nidre (Erev Yom Kippur).

Student Rabbi Erin Wyner will lead services on Thursday, October 2nd: Yom Kippur Morning 10:00 am and Afternoon 3:30 pm

Thursday, October 2nd, the evening prayers will come to a close around 7:30 pm. A kosher dairy potluck will soon follow to break the fast. Please RSVP which dish you would like to bring to Gary E.

Ken W. would like volunteers to help build & decorate the community Sukkah on Sunday, October 5th at 11:00 am after the Brotherhood Breakfast.

Sukkot begins at sunset on Monday, Oct 6th, and continues until sunset on Monday, Oct 13.
