Last Sunday, this little cowboy ran to the front to sing "Praise God" with his pastor.

The doxology has been one of his favorites for a long time. You may even find him on the playground with his hands raised giving glory to Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

Let's shout it out loud for all who have ears to hear, do not excommunicate the children on the Lord's Day.

When we gather as the people of God, according to the command of God in order to worship God, let the little hearts assemble. When we preach the word as the ordinary means of grace in the presence of God, let the little ears hear. When we give simple common forms so that everyone can participate in corporate worship, let the little mouths sing and the little hands raise.

We are raising up generations of Christians who can carry the load of a Christian faith, a Christian character and a Christian vocation.

We just began a study of the 1689 London Baptist Confession or Faith. Why? Because we have a mission to raise up generations of Christians and these tools are the more successful means known to the church.

“The handing that down from generation to generation, and the constant rejoicing in the same, which is meant to characterize the Christian life both at a corporate level and for the individual…there may be ways of doing the above better; but I am unaware of them. And, indeed, the church throughout history has been unaware of them too."
