✨🙏 ADORATION FOR KIDS — ADORE WITH THE ARCHANGELS! 🙏✨

Parents and families, we invite you to bring your little ones for a special evening with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament! ❤️

This Friday, September 4th, from 5:00–6:00 PM in St. Joseph Chapel, our children will have an opportunity to experience Adoration in a way created especially for them.

Together, we’ll learn about St. Michael, St. Gabriel, and St. Raphael the Archangels 😇 while spending beautiful, quiet time in the presence of Jesus. Through guided prayer, music, Scripture stories, and moments of silence, we hope to help our children discover that Adoration is a place where they can simply come and be loved by Jesus. 🕊️

💙 Children of ALL ages are welcome — bring the whole family!

And if you don’t have children but would still like to join us, PLEASE COME! ❤️ We would LOVE to have you there! You don’t need to have a child with you to come spend this special hour with Jesus and pray alongside our parish families. 🙏

One of the greatest gifts we can give our children is teaching them that they can always come to Jesus. Even the wiggles, whispers, and little distractions are welcome. 🥰

✨ “Let the children come to me…
” — Matthew 19:14

Come adore Jesus with us and our heavenly helpers! 🙏😇❤️

✨ A BEAUTIFUL WEEKEND OF PRAYER AT SANTA MARIA DE LA PAZ ✨

We invite you to begin your weekend by making a little extra room for Jesus and Mary. ❤️🕊️

🙏 FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 4 — 24-HOUR EUCHARISTIC ADORATION

Our monthly 24-Hour Eucharistic Adoration begins Friday with Exposition at 9:00 AM and continues throughout the day and night.

Come for an hour, 30 minutes, or even just a few quiet moments. Bring your prayers, your worries, your gratitude, and simply come be with Jesus. ❤️
Adoration will continue overnight and conclude Saturday morning with Benediction at 9:00 AM.

📋 Sign-up sheets are available in the Gathering Space. We especially encourage our parish family to help us make sure Jesus is never left alone throughout the night. 🙏

🌹 SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5 — CHILDREN OF MARY 🌹

After spending Friday with Jesus, join us Saturday morning as we turn our hearts toward Our Blessed Mother. 💙

📿 Rosary — 9:30 AM
⛪ Holy Mass — 10:00 AM

Come pray with the Children of Mary as we honor Our Lady and ask her to always lead us closer to her Son.

❤️ Friday with Jesus. Saturday with Mary. What a beautiful way to begin the weekend!
Bring your family, invite a friend, and come spend some time in prayer with our parish community. 🙏🕊️

Jesus, truly present in the Eucharist, we adore You.
Mary, our Mother, lead us always to your Son. ❤️🌹

🙏 Monica’s Mantle of Prayer 🙏

Do you have a child, grandchild, spouse, sibling, friend, or someone you love who has drifted away from the Catholic faith? Never lose hope. Keep praying. ❤️

We invite you to join us Wednesday, September 2 at 11:00 a.m. in the San José Chapel as we gather to pray the Holy Rosary for our loved ones who have stepped away from Christ and His Church.

Like St. Monica, who prayed faithfully and patiently for the conversion of her son, St. Augustine, we place those we love into God’s hands and trust in the power of prayer. 📿

May St. Monica wrap them in her mantle of prayer and intercede for them, that their hearts may once again be drawn home to Jesus and His Church. 🙏💙

✨ Bring their names. Bring your intentions. Bring your hope.

All are welcome—come pray with us!

St. Monica, pray for us and for all those we love. 🙏📿❤️

📚✝️ THERE’S A PLACE FOR YOUR CHILD IN RELIGIOUS EDUCATION! ✝️📚

Parents, we have wonderful news! 💛 We still have space available in several of our Religious Education classes, and we would LOVE to welcome some new kiddos into our SMDLP family! 🥰

🌈 Space is currently available for:
✨ Pre-K & Kindergarten
✨ 1st Grade
✨ 4th Grade
✨ 5th Grade
✨ 6th Grade
✨ 7th Grade
Our 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th & 7th grade classes are Non-Sacramental Religious Education classes—and these years of faith formation are just as important! 🙏❤️

As Father Darrell often reminds us:
“First Holy Communion is not graduation.” 🎓❌✝️

Receiving a Sacrament is not the end of our children's faith formation—it is another beautiful step in their lifelong journey with Christ. ❤️

Our children need opportunities to keep learning about Jesus, asking questions, discovering Scripture, understanding the Mass, learning our Catholic traditions, praying together, and growing in their relationship with God.

Faith formation doesn't end when the white dress or suit is put away, the celebration is over, and the First Communion pictures are framed. 🥹❤️ That is only the beginning.

We want our children to know that their Catholic faith isn't simply something they prepare for once—it is something they live, grow in, and carry with them throughout their lives. 🌱✝️

📅 Classes are Sundays
⏰ 8:00 AM – 9:15 AM

If your child has already received First Holy Communion and hasn't returned to Religious Education, we would LOVE to welcome them back!💕

There is a place for them here.
And if you have a little one in Pre-K or Kindergarten, what a beautiful time to begin planting those first seeds of faith! 🌱🌈

❤️ Come learn. Come grow. Come meet Jesus.
Because the goal isn't simply to prepare our children to receive Jesus for the first time—it's to help them build a relationship with Him that lasts for a lifetime. ✝️❤️🙏

🕊️ Funeral Services & Mass of Christian Burial 🕊️

With hearts united in faith, we invite you as we come together as community as we entrust our beloved Deacon William "Bill" Kollasch into the loving and merciful arms of our Lord.

Funeral services will be held at Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Community on Monday, August 17, 2026.

🤍 9:30 AM — Viewing
📿 10:00 AM — Holy Rosary
⛪ 10:30 AM — Mass of Christian Burial

Following the Mass, we will accompany our loved Deacon to his final resting place at Rosario Cemetery, where the interment will take place at 1:00 PM.

Afterward, family, friends, are warmly invited to gather for a reception in the Msgr. Jerome Parish Hall at Santa Maria de la Paz.

In moments of loss, we are reminded of the beautiful gift of our Catholic faith and the strength we find when we come together as one Body of Christ.

May our prayers bring comfort to the family, and may the Lord surround them with His love, strength, and peace in the days ahead.

“I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live.” — John 11:25

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace. Amen. 🕊️🤍

Rest in peace, Deacon William Kollasch.

Deacon William Kollasch passed away on July 29, 2026, at the age of 82. He was ordained a deacon on May 17, 1997. He served at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi until he retired.

Deacon Kollasch was loved by many for his joyful diaconate ministry, as well as his compassion, warmth, humor, wisdom, patience, ingenuity, and faith. All of these live on with his memory in the hearts of the countless lives he touched by his life.

Please pray for the repose of Deacon Kollasch's soul and for the consolation of his
family and friends.

May eternal light shine upon him.
