Congratulations to Metropolitan Constantine! Πάντα Άξιος !
The weekend of June 21-23, 2024, was a momentous one indeed for the Metropolis of Denver, with the Enthronement of His Eminence Metropolitan Constantine of Denver. The weekend began with a dinner for Hierarchs, clergy and families hosted by St. Catherine Parish on Friday, June 21. Saturday opened with the Enthronement Ceremony at the Assumption of the Theotokos Metropolis Cathedral in Denver in a packed church, followed by the elegant celebratory luncheon, attended by 550 faithful. Sunday’s Hierarchical Liturgy of Pentecost was celebrated by His Eminence Metropolitan Constantine with the assistance of fourteen priests and two deacons, followed by a brunch hosted by the Cathedral. In attendance for the weekend were His Eminence Metropolitan Gregory of Nyssa, representing the Ecumenical Patriarchate, His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, His Eminence Metropolitan Savas of Pittsburg, His Eminence Metropolitan Apostolos of New Jersey, His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael of Chicago, Locum Tenens of the Metropolis of Denver, His Grace Bishop Athenagoras, Secretary of the Eparchial Synod, and His Grace Bishop Nektarios, Archdiocese Chancellor. Special guests at the Enthronement included Cardinal Francis Stafford, Archbishop Emeritus of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Denver, Bishop Peter Eaton, Episcopal Bishop of Southeast Florida, and Mike Emanuel, Chief Washington Corespondent and Fox News Anchor. Clergy, family, friends, and lay leaders from throughout the country and Metropolis were present for this beautiful and blessed weekend. AXIOS!!! God grant him MANY YEARS!
