It can be a location in town, a specific building or even a group of people. At Grace we are trying to think of church less and less as a physical place and more and more as a group of people living lives that honor God and make the world a better place. As the biblical writers used the word "church" they were most often talking about people, rather than a place. Jesus said that His church would b

e people not places. In the book of Matthew when Jesus was talking about His disciple, Peter (whose name meant "rock"), He said "on this rock I will build my church." Jesus set the stage for His followers to be known not by the geographical place where they assemble, but rather by the way they live in their community. The heartbeat of Grace Baptist is to be the church in our neighborhood, every day not just on the weekend. Our desire is to live by the ancient yet timeless message of the Bible and see it make our community better. Living out Jesus' teachings every day not just when we're "in the building," is what following Jesus is about. At times we've been guilty of viewing church as a place to go rather than an identity of who we are! We want to represent Jesus well at the grocery store, in traffic, at the theater and at home with our families, friends and neighbors. The Bible says, speaking to followers of Jesus, "You have been bought with a price. How we live matters and will either be attractive, neutral or offensive. We know we aren't perfect but we want to live in a way that shows the great value of the price, in an attractive way that honors God. We'd love for you to join us at one of our weekend services and get to know what makes Grace unique. If you have a question or would like to speak with one of our pastors, drop us a note.

This Sunday, we begin a new summer series. In John 15, Jesus tells His disciples, “I no longer call you servants... I have called you friends.” What does it mean to be a friend of God? And how does that shape the way we relate to one another in the body of Christ? Join us as we kick off this important series and discover God’s design for relationship. Services are at 8:45am & 10:45am.

When we stop trusting ourselves and start trusting God, we discover that His purposes never fail—even when we do. Watch Pastor Aaron’s sermon from Genesis 27 on our website and be reminded that true blessing is found not in our own wisdom or strength, but in humble dependence on the Lord

Our Simple Sermon from this weekend!

05/30/2026

This Sunday, we’re back in Genesis 27, where we see one of the saddest moments in the story of the patriarchs. Isaac and his family become consumed with deception and manipulation as they try to take control of God’s promises for themselves. Through it all, we’re reminded of the danger of walking by sight instead of by faith—and of God’s faithfulness even in the middle of human failure. Join us Sunday at 8:45am or 10:45am.
