Sexuality seems to have no place in our ethical thought today not only because we don’t do ethics systematically, but also because contemporary ethical systems are unsatisfactory. A return to coherent sexual ethics requires a return to a coherent notion of the human person.
Greg Stearns is a Catholic husband and father who teaches logic and rhetoric at a public charter school in western North Carolina. Raised in Kentucky, Greg is the second of ten children. Greg fell in love with philosophy in high school and has since studied philosophy at the undergraduate level at Berea College and at The Catholic University of America as a Basselin Scholar. Recently, he obtained a master’s degree in philosophy from Holy Apostles College and Seminary. While he shares his love of philosophy on a daily basis with his students, he has also traveled through much of the US to speak with others about philosophy, and occasionally, faith. Speaking at conferences for over a decade, he has learned that there is no other group he would prefer to be with more than IVE, and he is thrilled to return to Our Lady of Peace.
