Message:“Labor Day” When we go to pray, do we tell Jesus what we want him to do? or do we wait patiently for His solution. God’s ways are better than our way…Listen to Jesus is hard especially when we are in a rush! Being humble is the virtue of waiting on the Lord. Heaven measures life differently…it doesn’t seek the greatest but the very least.

Resolution: Today, I choose to humble myself and rest in Christ peace, trusting his power to overcome every temptation.

Brother Lawrence writes, "All things are possible to him who believes, they are less difficult to him who hopes, they are easier to him who loves, and still more easy to him who practices and persevere in these three virtues." (P. 35. The Practice of the Presence of God.)

"Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness, no one will see the Lord." (Hebrews 12:14)

Message: Saying “yes” to God puts us in tension with worldly wisdom. It changes our vision on the world and our mission becoming an icon of God’s presence. Choosing holiness over popularity is a daily challenge that puts us on the path of peace against the violence of sin. Choosing to follow Jesus, to take up our cross, is not about being perfect. It is choosing to seek the ever growing holiness in our daily life is the “yes” that Mary gave to God and we are invited to imitate.

Resolution: Today I will choose integrity over convenience, trusting Jesus to help me live authentically.

Message: Guarding our heart for love. Like Mary, we should constantly turn towards Jesus in every situation in life. When we choose to meditate on the Word, and ponder and allow the Word (Jesus) to rest and fill our hearts we see the true hope of life, with the pains and joys, we find ourselves look forward knowing a new day is dawning.

Resolution: Today, I will reject every negative seed and focus only on God's truth about my life.

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that's so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us." (Hebrews 12:1).

Message: “Let us run in perseverance the race marked out for us.” We do not run the race alone but with others in faith, hope and love. Jesus help me to finish my race with joy! Help me to be an encouragement to others. United in prayer with Mama Mary, we are strengthened in the race/the journey of life. Sometimes it is a sprint, sometimes a marathon…whether we run, walk or are limping with a cane or in a wheelchair: we are never alone.

Resolution: Today, I will run my race with perseverance, honoring the legacy of faith before me.

"But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities: the punishment that brought his peace was on him, and by his wounds, we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5)

Message: Standing at the foot of the cross is the challenge to embrace the hurts and struggles of life and enter into the beginning of a healing journey. Mary’s heart pierced is the moment of temptation that with perseverance and faith becomes life eternal with her son and our Lord Jesus. Trust in the journey with Mary to Jesus.

Resolution: Today I will trust God's guidance and healing in every circumstance.

Saint Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Parish and School Celebrating the installation and consecration of the women of the Catholic Woman Association of Cameroon with the community. Joined by Fr. Angelbert Chikere we accepted the foundation of the CWA of Cameroon and prayed and sang with great joy. The Cameroonian (Camby) community celebrates at the parish the last Sunday of every month bring their faith in God to be united to our parish community. Diocese of San Jose Mark Arnzen

"Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing: now it springs fourth, do you not perceive it?" (Isaiah 43:18–19).

Message:Even with the interruptions of life, the little we have can point us in a direction of finding the place God has called us to be, because God never leaves us, we, instead, often turn away. Not choosing the cross God invites us to carry and follow him. Jesus help us to walk through the valley (Psalm 23) and keep our eyes on the cross. We must all walk through the valley of life because God is the God of life.

Resolution: Today, I will choose to trust God's promise of Dunez instead of settling for less.
