Music, imagination, and hands-on discovery are taking flight at First Presbyterian! 🚀🎶
We’re delighted to welcome the Santa Barbara Chamber Players for Fly Me to the Moon, a multimedia family concert featuring orchestral favorites, film music, jazz, and the fascinating story of flight.
After the concert, the Santa Barbara Symphony’s Music Van will invite children and families to see, touch, and try real orchestral instruments—perhaps even discovering a new favorite!

This Weekend, for one day only, Santa Barbara Chamber Players is Presenting "Fly Me Too The Moon," a family-oriented concert for all ages! The concert will take plate this Sunday, 3pm, at First Presbyterian Church. Tickets are $10, while kids 18 and under enter for free!
Under the direction of Maestro Michael Nowak, the concert offers an exciting introduction to the orchestra and its instruments to families and younger listeners. Highlights include:
• Tchaikovsky — Serenade for Strings
• Beethoven — Symphony No. 6 "Pastoral," I. Allegro
• An interactive introduction to the orchestra featuring “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.”
Vocalist Inga Swearingen and string bassist Ken Husted will bring jazz improvisation to Bart Howard’s “Fly Me to the Moon.” Swearingen will also be featured in the beloved finale, “When You Wish Upon a Star,” with music by Leigh Harline and lyrics by Ned Washington.
The fun continues after the concert when children can visit the Santa Barbara Symphony Music Van and try playing musical instruments themselves. The instrument exploration station is provided by the Santa Barbara Symphony’s Music Van Program.
