Last Thursday evening was Episcopal Night at Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers beat the St. Louis Cardinals 3 to 2! The All Saints crew had a great time.

This Sunday, September 6, is Homecoming Sunday! Come celebrate the start of the program year. There will be a Farm to Table Lunch after the 10am service. Please bring the bounty of your garden or the local Farmers Market as a salad or other offering to share with the parish. We will have assorted submarine sandwiches to go with the vegetables and fruit. There will also be lawn games for children and adults!

Artificial intelligence is rapidly becoming part of everyday life. But amid all the conversation about what AI can do, there’s another set of questions worth asking:

What does this technology mean for us as human beings?

How might it change our relationships, our communities, and our sense of purpose? And what resources does faith offer as we navigate these changes?

Join the Rev. Channing Smith for Being Human in the Age of AI, two evenings of conversation at All Saints-by-the-Sea.

Rather than approaching AI simply as a technology problem to solve, Channing will invite us to consider it as a human and spiritual challenge—one that asks us to think about who we are, who we want to become, and what kind of relationship we want to have with AI.

Today was a big day for Miguel Ruiz Lara and his family. They dropped their daughter Andrea off at boot camp! Let's keep Miguel, Andrea, and the whole family in our prayers as they make this transition.

Almighty God, we commend to your gracious care and
keeping all the men and women of our armed forces at home and abroad. Defend them day by day with your heavenly grace; strengthen them in their trials and temptations; give them courage to face the perils which beset them; and grant them a sense of your abiding presence wherever they may be; through Jesus Christ our Lord. This summer, Choral Foundations participants enjoyed two sessions of group vocal instruction for congregational singing while learning about the origin and use of Canticles in the Episcopal tradition. The class culminated in a sung Evening Prayer service out of the Book of Common Prayer.

Did you know that All Saints is connected to a cow in Africa? In 2016, outreach donated a cow named "All" to Imbereheza (Better Future) cooperative in Rwanda. All has gone on to be quite prolific this year! Check out her many offspring who are now an extension of our multifaceted All Saints community.

On Sunday Rev. Christina blessed backpacks at the 10am service. Not only was every student of any age encouraged to bring their backpack, the backpacks collected and filled with school supplies for needy students at Cleveland Elementary School were also blessed.
