Influence isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s a quiet example that changes an entire room. Nobody made a rule and nobody gave a speech. One young man simply decided who he wanted to be, and over time everyone around him knew it. That’s often how discipleship works. It’s rarely one big moment. It’s a thousand small decisions made consistently. People notice more than we think, and a faithful example can influence others in ways that may never be fully seen.

What qualities make someone worth following?

Brother Mike Madsen shares his experience this week on followHIM.

Part 1:
What if the quiet revolution drawing hundreds of millions into daily scripture study—and toward the Savior himself—began with a single question: does anyone actually read this? Brother Mike Madsen, Program Manager for Gospel Learning and Teaching, pulls back the curtain on Come Follow Me, the coming shift to a shorter Sunday schedule, and a teacher-led journey through David and Goliath that finds Christ in a shepherd boy’s sling.
Part 2:
Brother Mike Madsen traces the downfall of King Saul through 1 Samuel 20-26, contrasting his pride and jealousy with Jonathan’s loyalty and Abigail’ s Christlike intercessions, and the hard, personal work of forgiving and laying down a vengeful heart.

"Let Zion in Her Beauty Rise" by Marshall McDonald

06/14/2026

Sometimes we confuse cultural expectations with true discipleship. We start measuring people by appearances, callings, traditions, or preferences. Before we look around and evaluate others, it may be worth asking ourselves, “Am I measuring discipleship by Christ or by culture?”

➡️ What does true conversion look like to you?

06/13/2026

The Lord’s timing may not always match our expectations, but He never forgets His people. Even in seasons of waiting, faith grows when we keep walking with Him and trust that He is working for our good.

It takes courage to walk away from what everyone else is doing and choose a different path. Dr. Geoffrey Wright’s story reminds us that a person’s future is not determined by the pressures around them. Just as Geoffrey never stopped believing in Greg, the Savior never stops believing in us. He sees who we can become and continually invites us to move forward with Him.

Dr. Geoffrey Wright joins followHIM this week.

Part 1:
Could God see a king in the most unlikely of people and what happens when a humble leader lets pride take hold? Join Hank and John as they welcome Dr. Geoff Wright to explore 1 Samuel and Israel’s shift from judges to monarchy and the tragic rise and fall of King Saul.

Part 2:
Dr. Geoff Wright continues to explore King Saul’s impatience, disobedience, and lack of trust that led to his downfall while God looked past outward appearances to anoint David–illustrated by Dr. Wright’s dramatic rescue from a collapsed snow cave by his young son.
