“BURN THE LIE. BELIEVE THE WORD.”

Scripture:
“We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.” - 2 Corinthians 10:5

“You are not your own; you were bought at a price.” – 1 Corinthians 6:19–20

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
Warrior—let’s get something straight:

You are not every thought you think.
You are not every feeling you feel.
You are not your past, your pain, your mirror, or your mistakes.

You are who God says you are.
And your feelings don’t get to override His truth.

The battle of identity is real.
We stare into mirrors, scroll through memories, replay wounds, and wonder:
Is this who I am?

But here’s the truth: That’s temptation. That’s spiritual warfare.

You are not defined by temptation—you are defined by redemption.

Temptation says: “You’re too broken.”
Jesus says: “I was broken for you.”

Temptation says: “You’ve lost too much.”
Jesus says: “I gave everything to call you mine.”

Temptation says: “You’ll never be enough.”
Jesus says: “It is finished.”

Some of you feel like your body is a curse.
Some of you feel like you’re too far gone to be fully restored.
Some of you have regrets tangled in past relationships.
Some of you are haunted by what you’ve done—or what was done to you.

But Giant Slayer—feelings are not Lord. Christ is.
He doesn’t ask for your emotions to lead you.
He asks for your surrender, your trust, and your willingness to believe what He says even when it doesn’t feel true.

You are a new creation—not just on your good days.

You are loved, set apart, and handcrafted with a purpose—even when it hurts.
You are not your worst moment.
You are not your insecurity.
You are not your shame.

CHALLENGE:
Today, take one thought—one feeling—that has been tormenting you.
Write it down. Name it.
Now ask: What does God say about this?
Replace the lie with the truth.
And don’t just read it—declare it.

Do this every time the feelings rise.
Because this is war—and renewing your mind is how you fight back.

PRAYER:
God, I’ve let my feelings sit on a throne that belongs to You.
I’ve believed lies about who I am.
But today—I take every thought captive.
I lay down shame, fear, regret, insecurity, bitterness.
You purchased me. You define me.
Teach me to walk in the truth—even when it hurts.
I belong to You. I was made for You.
And today—I live like it.

“THE GIANT ISN’T HER”

Scripture:
“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” – Ephesians 5:25
“A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” – Proverbs 15:1

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
You’ve been grinding all day.
Putting in the work. Doing the right things. You walk through the door ready to exhale, hoping for peace, maybe a moment of connection…
Instead—you’re hit with tension.
A sharp tone. A strange silence. A frustrated comment over something small.

And in that moment, the giant within you rises.
Pride. Offense. Frustration.
The voice that says: “She’s overreacting.”
“I didn’t do anything wrong.”
“I deserve better than this.”

That voice sounds like truth—but it’s a trap.
Because your wife is not your enemy. She’s your opportunity.
She’s your calling. Your covenant.
And when emotions flare and the enemy tries to stir division in your house, you don’t fight back with flesh—you fight forward with faith.

This is your Goliath moment.
Not to throw a stone at your wife—but to throw down your flesh.

When offense tempts you, remember:
Christ wasn’t defensive. He was sacrificial.
He didn’t love when it was easy. He loved when it cost everything.

CHALLENGE:
When you’re tempted to react—pause and pray.
When you feel misunderstood—serve harder.
When you feel disrespected—respond with grace, not ego.

Kill the urge to win the argument.
Slay the need to defend your pride.
And rise as a man who protects peace and covers his home with love.

PRAYER:
God, kill the giant of pride in me.
Make me slow to speak, quick to listen, and eager to serve.
Give me eyes to see my wife not as my opponent, but as Your daughter.
Help me lead with love—even when it’s not easy.

“STAY ON THE ALTAR”

Scripture:
“I beseech you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.” – Romans 12:1

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:

I beg you, brothers—don’t crawl off the altar.
You were spared wrath. You were given mercy.
God didn’t give you what you deserved.
He gave you Himself.

And now He calls you to give yourself fully in return - not in part, not in theory, but in fire.

This is not casual Christianity.
This is a call to sacrifice.
To lay your body, your mind, your ambition, your bitterness, your entitlement - on the altar.

Living sacrifices don’t get to pick the battle.
They don’t get to argue with the orders.
They simply burn - for the One who bled.

You want to know why David stepped into a valley with a giant and no armor?
Because his life wasn’t his own.
He didn’t show up to protect himself - he showed up to glorify his King.
His mindset:
“If God is for me, who can be against me?”

He wasn’t playing defense.
He was offering his life on the altar of obedience.

And you?

Will you surrender?
Or will you crawl off the altar the moment it gets uncomfortable?

Don’t blame your past.
Don’t point to your pain.
Your life isn’t about what you’ve been through. It’s about what Christ went through for you.

He died so you could live.
Now you live - so He can be glorified.

That is your reasonable service.
Not radical. Not extreme.
Just reasonable for someone who’s seen the mercy of God.

CHALLENGE:
Visualize the altar.
See yourself climbing on it - willingly, daily, fully.
Name what needs to die.
Lay it down.
Stay there.
Burn there.

PRAYER:
Jesus, You gave it all - so I give it all.
Help me stop crawling off the altar.
Help me stop protecting what needs to die.
May my life preach Your worth.
May my obedience reflect Your mercy.
I surrender. For real. For good.

“FACE YOURSELF FIRST”

Scripture:
“Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there be any hurtful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way.” – Psalm 139:23–24

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
Before you fight the giants around you, you must first slay the one within you.
That’s the heart of self-confrontation: the war that begins not with others, but with you.

Every man wants victory, but few want exposure.
We’d rather lift weights than lift the hood on our motives.
But God doesn’t just want your strength—He wants your surrender.
Your transformation begins the moment you stop defending your brokenness and start submitting it.

David didn’t say, “Fix my enemies.”
He said, “Search me.”

Giant Slayer—don’t fear what God will find.
Fear what will remain if you never let Him look.

CHALLENGE:
Start your day in total honesty.
Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal one hidden sin, one lie you’ve believed, or one area you’ve been justifying.
Write it down. Confess it. Bring it into the light.

You cannot conquer what you won’t confront.

PRAYER:
Lord, I don’t want surface change. I want deep transformation.
Show me what You see.
Cut out what doesn’t belong.
Forge me into a man worthy of the fight.

I’ve been meeting early in the morning with some brothers @ the Giant Slayer Academy. Prior to begining our workout, I was reading today’s verse on the U version Bible app and put together some thoughts to share with these men.

“What Giant Shall Defy?”

Scripture:
“Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.” – Psalm 42:11

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
Giant Slayers, we are not immune to battle fatigue. Even David—the man after God’s own heart—had moments where his soul felt crushed, his spirit heavy, and his mind torn in two. But in the face of discouragement, he didn’t retreat. He preached to his own soul.

“Put your hope in God.” That’s not a suggestion—it’s a war cry.

We draw our strength not from adrenaline, applause, or even discipline.
We draw it from the presence of the Living God.

David didn’t stand before Goliath because he had better weapons. He stood because he had deeper trust. He had been with God in the wilderness. He had worshipped in the waiting. He had trained in the shadows. So when the giant roared, David didn’t flinch.

He looked Goliath in the eye and said,
“Who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the Living God?” (1 Sam. 17:26)

Men—there are giants still mocking the people of God today: Fear. Depression. Anxiety. Shame. Lust. Doubt.

But we don’t run.
We rise.
We slay.

CHALLENGE:
Speak to your soul today.
If it’s downcast—lift it. If it’s distracted—focus it. If it’s afraid—fuel it with praise.

Before you fight the enemy outside, conquer the noise within. Put your hope in God—and go hard after Him.

PRAYER:
Lord, train my heart like You trained David’s. Make me bold not just in the gym, but in the unseen places. Remind me that no giant defies You and wins. I place my hope in You again today—and I rise to slay.

How do you respond when someone’s weaknesses are exposed 👀? Do you protect or publicize?

In the story of Noah, we see a stark contrast between how his sons reacted to his moment of weakness. After Noah, a man who had faithfully obeyed God for years, fell into sin by getting drunk and lying exposed in his tent, his sons had two very different responses.

Ham, one of Noah's sons, saw his father’s nakedness and immediately went out to tell others about it. He exposed his father’s failure instead of protecting him. This act of dishonor not only reflected poorly on Ham but also had serious consequences, as Noah’s curse fell on Ham's descendants.

In contrast, Shem and Japheth chose a different path. They walked into the tent backwards, covering their father without looking at his nakedness. They honored their father by protecting his dignity, even in his failure. They refused to focus on his mistake and instead took action to cover and protect him.

This story raises important questions about how we respond when we see the weaknesses or failures of others:

1. When you see someone close to you stumble, do you talk about it or expose it to others, like Ham? Or do you cover their vulnerability with honor, like Shem and Japheth?

2. Do you gossip or spread negativity about others’ mistakes, or do you protect them from unnecessary exposure?

3. Are you quick to judge, or are you quick to show mercy?

⁉️ WANT TO APPLY THIS ⁉️

💎 Check Your Heart
– Reflect on how you respond when someone fails or shows weakness. Are you inclined to criticize or expose their flaws, or do you look for ways to extend grace and cover them?

💎 Choose Honor Over Exposure
– Just as Shem and Japheth covered their father, make the decision to protect others’ dignity. This doesn't mean we excuse sin, but it does mean we choose not to publicize or revel in someone’s failure. Instead, find ways to help them and pray for their restoration.

💎 Be a Safe Place
– Gossip dies when it reaches someone who refuses to pass it on. Be that person. Don’t entertain conversations that expose others’ flaws. Redirect the discussion, and choose to honor the person being spoken about, even if they aren’t present.

💎 Seek Mercy, Not Judgment
– Remember that as we show mercy and cover others, God promises to show mercy to us (Luke 6:36-38). The more we honor others, the more we grow in our ability to love and protect those around us, and we will experience the same mercy when we fail.

By following these steps, we can create a culture of honor, where people are treated with the dignity they deserve—even when they stumble.

Let’s be like Shem and Japheth, covering others in love and honor.

To those who are struggling and feel like giving up:

I know the weight of the pain you're carrying feels unbearable. It might feel like everything around you is falling apart—relationships, dreams, even the hope for a better tomorrow. You feel like the ground beneath you is crumbling, and you wonder, Why keep going?

In times like these, I’m reminded of Psalm 55. David, the man after God’s own heart, found himself overwhelmed, betrayed by those closest to him, and ready to run away. He wrote, “Oh that I had wings like a dove! For then would I fly away, and be at rest.” David wanted to escape his pain, just as you might feel the need to escape yours. His son, Absalom, rebelled against him, and even those he trusted deeply turned against him. I imagine his heart felt like it couldn’t take any more, much like you might be feeling right now.

But even in the depths of his despair, David turned to God. He cried out, “As for me, I will call upon God, and the Lord shall save me.” Despite the darkness, David had confidence that God would hear his voice and deliver him from his battles.

I understand this place you're in, where nothing seems to make sense and every step forward feels like wading through quicksand. But please hear me: I’ve seen lives change. I’ve seen marriages on the brink of divorce be restored. People who had given up on themselves and their futures have found healing. I have friends who were exactly where you are now—feeling like there was no way forward—and yet, within the last year, I’ve watched them rebuild a healthier, happier relationship after feeling hopeless for so long. Change can happen, even when it seems impossible.

God knows the battles you're facing—the pain, the heartache, the betrayal. He sees you. Psalm 55 reminds us to “cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee.” Even when everything feels like it’s crumbling, you are not alone. You don’t have to carry this weight by yourself. God is faithful, and He will not let you be moved.

It’s easy to believe that no one understands what you're going through or that things will never change. But I promise you, there is hope. Life may not make sense right now, but God hasn’t left you. He sees your struggle, your tears, your broken heart. Even when people let you down, He never will.

So, in this moment of despair, cast your burden on Him. Call out to Him, and trust that He hears you. Things may not change overnight, but just like David, you can have confidence that the Lord will sustain you through this storm. And just like my friends, you might find healing and hope where you least expect it.

You matter, and this world is better with you in it. Please, hold on. There’s still hope for a future that looks different from the pain you feel now. Just as David found his peace by trusting God, so can you.

Prison, shackled in chains, and a possible death sentence?

Get on the Facebook Rocket-ship 🚀 and come with me to outer space… are you ready? Listen up. It will be worth it…

☀️ Our sun is so immense that it could contain 1,300,000 Earths if it were hollowed out.

🌟 Yet the sun pales in comparison to the star Antares, which could hold sixty-four suns.

💫 But even Antares is tiny next to Hercules, a star capable of holding one hundred million Antares.

🚀 Still, Hercules is a speck compared to Epsilon, the largest known star, which could hold three million Hercules.

Friends, listen to me… These objects in space are incomprehensibly massive—astronomical, mind-blowing in size.

So why, then, do they look so small to us when we gaze up at the night sky?

Because we are so far away.

That’s why we use a telescope—to magnify them, to bring them closer to us. Let me say that again: WE MAGNIFY them so they will DRAW CLOSER to us. Did you catch that?

Hold on to that thought. Don’t forget about all the planet and star stuff. You’ll need it.

He was imprisoned, chained to a guard, facing trial, and possibly staring down a death sentence. For many, the situation would seem hopeless, but the apostle Paul’s MIND was resolute.

"For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayers and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be MAGNIFIED in my body, whether by life or by death." (Philippians 1:19-20)

What was Paul trying to communicate? That Christ would be MAGNIFIED through his trials and suffering.

Why is this so significant for Paul? Why does Christ need to be magnified? You might be thinking, “Isn’t Jesus already big enough?”

Remember all that sun, planet 🌏, and giant star stuff… LISTEN UP

Are you going through it? Do life circumstances currently have you chained up and feeling imprisoned? Do you feel like you’re in a situation that you can’t get out? People feel far from Jesus. What will make Him clear to them? How can He draw closer? It’s seeing Him walk with us and provide for us through the telescope of our difficulties.

If this is true—if Christ is magnified through our hardships—then the most logical thing to do in tough times is what Paul did: rejoice.

But Paul didn’t stop there. Look at what he said next:
“For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain."* (Philippians 1:21)

"For me, to live means Christ," said Paul, "and to die? That’s even better, for then I’ll be with Him."

Wait, what? Listen closely...

This is the single-minded focus we need, my friends, if we want to THINK PROPERLY and LIVE JOYFULLY.

☑️ Crushing business KPIs

☑️ Earning this or obtaining that…
‼️It’s all fleeting and unsatisfying.

Anything else will leave you empty-handed.

The ONLY way to rejoice in life, to find true happiness, to be FULL OF JOY in this life, is to declare, My identity lies solely in Jesus.

09/17/2024

We were created in God’s image, and our purpose is to multiply that image here on earth by living out His love—loving God and loving people with all that we are.

Consider this, the Lord says,

“No one can truly love me unless they first see My love in you. You are the expression of My love.”

Too often, I’ve seen friends in the church spend their time pointing out what’s wrong in others' lives, telling people to "straighten up" and offering a list of reasons for their faults and instructions for fixing their mess. The focus shifts to blaming people for their struggles instead of giving them the one thing they need most— FIRST LOVE. 💕

We need to stop telling people they’re the reason for their mess and start giving them FIRST LOVE💕 so that God can have access to their hearts, dismantle the lies they believe, and bring them into true freedom.

The Holy Spirit whispers,
“People need to see who I am. It’s not about them changing first. They need to see who I am, to know who I am.”

And that’s where the believer in Christ comes in.

I have the incredible honor of revealing Jesus to a world that desperately needs to see Him. What a privilege that is!

Guess what honor you have too?

America has sold the gospel short.

Too often, we hear:

“Pray this prayer so you can go to heaven. If you don’t know where you’re going when you die, raise your hand, and we’ll fix that right now.”

But that’s not the whole picture. The gospel is about transformation—putting off the old, putting on the new, wearing Christ, and being restored to the image of God.

“Let us make man in our image and in the likeness of God He [made them].”

That’s our roots. That’s our inheritance. The Spirit of God lives in us to manifest Christ through us. That is why we are Christians!

If you think being a Christian is just about getting to heaven someday, you’re misunderstanding the gospel.

We’re called to let our light shine before others so that they see our lives—our good works—and say, “Wow, there is a God in heaven.”

We are called to become love. To manifest who God is. And the image of God? It’s not a head, two arms, and two legs. The image of God is His nature. It’s divine. It’s love. Everything flows from love.

I’m called to look like, act like, and reflect the heart and mind of Christ.

Christianity is not just about church attendance. It’s about being Christ-like in every aspect of life.

As a husband, a father, and business entrepreneur, I’m determined to represent Jesus in all I do—first at home, and then beyond.

Lord, transform me. Strengthen me Holy Spirit to become love. Help me to continually abide in You.

PRAY TRUTH.

“God, thank you for your amazing love for me. The value you see me - the eyes you see me through are refining, are life giving, are redeeming.

I feel so clean standing here because your love has penetrated my heart. And I have no desire to live for my flesh. I want to grow up into you and manifest sonship. Thank You for Your amazing love.

God, thank You that I am the desire of your heart - that you paid the highest price possible so that you could live in me because you know my potential.

You know my purpose. You know my created value. You’re the one that predestined me from the beginning. And I’m here. And I’m your will. I can’t be a mistake. I’m not born out of time. I’m right on time. And you are my Father.

Thank You for erasing the consciousness of sin. Weakness isn’t before me. Your strength is imputed and imparted to me. And God I thank you for your goodness.”
