In 1 Peter 1, we've been reminded of the awesome truths of salvation, and the fact that these truths can carry us through trials. In verses 13-21, Peter gives some instructions on how believers should live in light of those truths. Is your life different from those with no hope, or is it practically the same? Join us at 11:00 AM as we learn how the Bible answers the question, "How Should 'Saved' People Live?"

Suffering and trials are some of the most misunderstood topics among Christians today. Are they good or bad? Are they a source of sorrow or a source of joy? The answers will probably surprise you. 1 Peter 1 deals with these themes in great detail, and Peter give many illustrations to help us understand how trials work in our lives. Join us at 11:00 AM as we learn “The Truth about Trials.”

Our hearts continue to be with those affected by the recent evacuations connected to the chemical plant incident near Garden Grove.

On Sunday, a few from our church were able to spend some time at Freedom Hall praying with evacuees, listening, and asking if there were any needs we could help with. We were thankful to be able to help with a few simple requests and to offer encouragement during a difficult and uncertain time.

Please continue praying for the families affected, for first responders, and for wisdom and safety for everyone involved.

How do you move forward in the face of danger? The Apostle Peter writes to Christians who are enduring hostility getting ready to suffer great persecution. In 1 Peter 1, he begins his letter by asking them to remember what God has done, what He is doing, and what He has promised to do in the future. If we remember these things, we will be able to face the dangers ahead as well. Join us at 11:00 AM this Memorial Day weekend as we explore "The Power of Remembering."
