Bat Yam Temple of the Islands will host its Community Passover Seder on April 1 at The Community House on Sanibel. It is the holiday that retells the Israelites’ deliverance from slavery in Egypt. Rabbi Sunny Schnitzer will talk about the essence of the day, which commemorates the Biblical story of Exodus.

To celebrate the holiday of Purim, Bat Yam Temple of the Islands will host Purim Pandemonium on March 15 from 4 to 6 p.m. in front of Congress Jewelers on Sanibel. The community event will feature a costume parade, New Orleans brass band, food, beverages and prizes.

Bat Yam Temple of the Islands and the Sanibel Congregational United Church of Christ will hold its monthly Food and Paper Drive on March 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations of non-perishable food items and bath and kitchen paper products will be collected.
