Just Something From a Pastor’s Heart…
I want to share this in love because I believe it can help us grow.
When people are looking for a church home, not everyone falls into this category, but sometimes we can unknowingly begin looking for a place where our voice, gift, or ministry can eventually have a platform.
There’s nothing wrong with having something on your heart. There’s nothing wrong with being gifted. We need your gift! But our individual voice should never become greater than the vision God has entrusted to the leadership of the house.
Think about a kindergarten classroom. Every child may have something exciting and important to say. But if every child speaks whenever something comes to mind, pretty soon nobody can hear the teacher. Their excitement isn’t wrong—they simply have to learn there’s a time and an order for sharing.
The same principle applies in the church.
📖 “Let all things be done decently and in order.” — 1 Corinthians 14:40
If God places something on your heart during a service, you don’t have to interrupt or immediately speak it out. Share it with the leaders God has placed there. Give them the opportunity to pray, discern, and determine the right time and way for it to be shared.
Even young Samuel heard the voice of God, but before he understood what was happening, he went to Eli. God used the leadership in Samuel’s life to help him recognize what he was hearing. (1 Samuel 3)
Sometimes spiritual maturity isn’t just knowing what to say—it’s knowing when and how to say it.
* Your voice matters.
* Your gift matters.
*What God has placed inside you matters.
But so does order, unity, and the vision God has given the house.
We aren't trying to silence anyone. We’re learning how to hear The Holy Spirit together, honor one another, and protect what God has called us to build.
Honor the order. Love the people. Protect the vision. And let’s grow together.
In Jesus Name,
