Three Years of Blessings!

This month we celebrate three wonderful years of having the Green family as part of our Victory Baptist Church family!

Some people come into your church and become members, but others come into your lives and become family. The Green family has truly become both!

Over these past three years, they have been such an incredible blessing to our church. They have servants’ hearts and a genuine love for the Lord and His people. Whether it’s something big or small, something noticed or something done quietly behind the scenes, they are always willing to step up, lend a hand, and go above and beyond what is asked of them.

But even more than all they do, we are thankful for who they are. They aren’t just faithful church members and willing servants; they are dear friends, encouragers, and a precious part of our church family. Their friendship, faithfulness, and love mean more than words can adequately express.

It’s hard to believe it’s already been three years, but we are so thankful that God saw fit to bring our paths together. Our church is a better place because they are part of it, and our lives are richer because of their friendship.

Green family, we love you, we appreciate you, and we thank God for you! Thank you for your faithfulness, your friendship, your servant’s hearts, and the countless ways you make a difference. We pray the Lord continues to bless your family, and we look forward to many more years of serving Him together!

Below are some are some practical ways you can show appreciation towards your pastor: 👇🏻👇🏻

1️⃣ Come to church excited for the Word.

If he is a Bible preacher, this will encourage him greatly. Fall in love with God’s Word.

2️⃣ Be consistently in your place of worship.

It is so encouraging to see the faithfulness of God’s people, week in and week out.

3️⃣ Be a participant and not a spectator.

Some will attend worship and just watch what goes on.. others participate in the worship and it shows.

4️⃣ Don’t be a negative person.

Nothing discourages the pastor more than negative people. Constant downers. Determine to be an encouragement.

5️⃣ Be a giver and not a taker.

Some only want something from the church or pastor but never invest in anything. Be a worker.

6️⃣ Pray for your pastor and frequently let him know that you are praying.

Prayer is the most important thing you do for anyone, especially the pastor. He needs it.

7️⃣ Bring others to church with you.

This is so encouraging to see as a pastor. People reaching others for Christ.

8️⃣ Share his vision for the church.

If you pastor is a visionary, share that same vision with your family and friends. Help cast the vision.

9️⃣ Love his family.

This is so important. If you want your pastor to be encouraged and stay a long time, love his family.

🔟 Determine to let him pastor you for a long time.

If the Lord allows it, determine to stay with your church through the good times and the not so good times.

If you have a faithful pastor who preaches the Word, you are blessed.
