Thought For Today: โ€œWhen I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, 'I used everything you gave me.โ€โ€• Erma Bombeck

Greetings, fellow truth seekers! Today is Wednesday, aka grocery day. I hate going to grocery stores. It is not fun to me. I have hated it since childhood. I don't know why. I find it mind-numbingly boring.
We did go to Walmart. I was able to buy two skeins of yarn I needed for yet another yarn wreath. This one is for my great-nephew, Drew. I have a possibly wacky idea for this one. But if it works out, it will be cool. I may have found my entry into the Lee Regional Fair. Yes, I'm all ready thinking about that. It's early for me; usually fair fever doesn't hit until July.
We ran into my sister and my other great-nephew, Johnny, at Walmart. He dropped some hints of things he'd like for his birthday. I passed the intel along to mom. I've all ready got him covered.he is going to freak out. My reign as the cool aunt will be assured forever.
After our grocery expedition, I was tired. We walk a lot on grocery and thrift store day. I read a little and napped a little. I had intended to start on the wreath. Instead, I decided to walk after supper. I was surprised that it was still light out at 8:30 when I started. It had started to get dark when I finished up a little after 9:00.
I took photos of the sunset in our front yard. I like the colors.
Our Scriptures are 2 Chronicles 21-22 and John 14. Good reading!

VENUS AND JUPITER WILL SHINE CLOSE TOGETHER IN THE WESTERN SKY. ๐ŸŒŸโœจ

On June 8โ€“9, 2026, two of the brightest planets in our sky โ€” Venus and Jupiter โ€” will appear beautifully close after sunset, creating a dazzling conjunction above the western horizon.

Venus will glow like a brilliant golden-white โ€œevening star,โ€ while Jupiter, the largest planet in our Solar System, will shine nearby with its steady light. From Earth, they may look like two bright worlds almost meeting in the twilight, even though they are separated by vast distances in space.

This is one of those simple sky moments that feels magical without needing a telescope. Just find a clear view toward the west after sunset, let the sky darken, and watch these two planets light up the evening.

๐ŸŒŒ Mark your calendar, look west, and donโ€™t miss this beautiful planetary pairing.

Thought For Today: โ€œThe end will come with the return of Jesus Christ . . .That is why a Christian can be an optimist. That is why a Christian can smile in the midst of all that is happening . . .We know what the end will be: the triumph of the Lord Jesus Christ!โ€ โ€• Billy Graham

"For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord." 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

Greetings, fellow truth seekers! Today, I had the old proverb "You want to make God laugh? Tell Him what you have planned for tomorrow," smack me in the face.
A week or so ago, I purchased what I thought was a cross stitch kit at Hobby Lobby as a project to make as a birthday gift.
When I opened the package, this afternoon. I got an ugly surprise. It's an embroidery kit. It requires 13 different stitches, most of which I don't know, and 15 different colors, which are very similar in tone. The banging you hear is my head against the wall.
Guess this falls under the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.
Guess I'll also be consulting Professor YouTube for help often. It's an example of me biting off more than I can chew. But I really really want to make this gift.
A case of my love overruling my insecurity and lack if skills. God knows every crappy stitch will have love behind it.
I'm hoping the recipient will realize that, too.
The photos are what I'm trying to tackle.
Our Scriptures are 2 Chronicles 19-20 and John 13:21-38. Good reading!

Thought for Today: "Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go." -T.S. Eliot

๐ŸŒฟ June in Ireland ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช

June brings long evenings, bright hedgerows, and some of the greenest landscapes of the Irish year. Wildflowers spread along country roads, fields thicken with growth, and daylight stretches late into the night.

In rural Ireland, June traditionally marked an active period in the farming calendar. Livestock moved through rich summer pasture, turf cutting continued in many areas, and preparations for haymaking were shaped closely by weather and timing.

Across much of the island, the month has long been associated with outdoor gatherings, local fairs, fishing, and seasonal work carried out during the brightest weeks of the year.

There is a distinct atmosphere to Ireland in June - soft light, mild evenings, and a countryside at its fullest growth.
