They will learn to recognize, listen to and obey the voice of God. Our motto is "Spirit Fed, Spirit Led"!

SC Kids focuses on teaching your children that their identity is found in Christ and that through the anointing of the Holy Spirit and the teachings of Jesus, they can be used by God. SC Kids meets on the following days and times at Sanford Church of God, 2105 Pathway Dr, Sanford, NC:

Sunday School meet on Sunday mornings from 9:30-10:30am. Our experienced Christian Educators follow proven Bible

curricula to give our students a greater understanding of God's Word. Children's Church meets on Sunday mornings beginning at 10:30. During Children's Church, your child will participate in worship, preaching and even their very own altar experience. Bible messages are presented using visible tools that are relatable to each child. Discipleship Classes meet every Wednesday from 7:00-8:00pm. Using curriculum created by the renowned, Becky Fisher, our leaders will guide your child into a deeper understanding of the Word and how it applies to them.

THIS SUNDAY is our Christmas movie Party, kids are encouraged to wear their pajamas as we play games, drink hot cocoa and most importantly learn about how our favorite Christmas movies reflect the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of JESUS!!

First night of Backyard Bible School is in the books!!! We made Jesus bracelets, learned about some amazing miracles that Jesus performed, ate ALOT of pizza, and bounced until we couldn’t bounce anymore! Thank you to all the parents and volunteers that made tonight a success! We couldn’t have done it without you!

On Sunday we learned about David and his bestie Jonathan, they had a “pinky promise” or a covenant between them.

Jonathan would promise to keep David safe from his father, Saul, yes the same Saul who had being trying to hurt David!!

Jonathan would throw an arrow and get someone to retrieve the arrow while David hid. If they said it was behind the retriever then David had to leave town, if Johnathon said it was beside the retriever it was safe for David to return inside.

Jonathan told the retriever that the arrow was behind him, so David knew that he had to leave. Jonathan and David were best friends, but they didn’t want to see any harm come to either of them!

Just like they Jonathan protected David, Jesus is our protector, He is our truest, most loyal friend and He always watches over us!

This week at SC Kids we continued learning about David’s story!

We followed David into a cave when King Saul, who was trying to hunt down and capture David, wandered into the cave.

At this point David had to make a major decision, to sink down to Sauls level, who tried to throw a spear a him three times, and kill him or to spare him.

David chose to cut off a piece of Sauls robe and to spare the King!

We learned that when others do stuff to try and hurt or harm us, that we should not sink down to there level but we should rise above and take the high road.

In the picture you can see we all decided to raise our hands and show that we are going to take the high road, and to do what Jesus taught us to do, “ forgive others 70 x 7 times!”
