This week’s prayer to keep us focused…
Jesus, You worshiped Your Father daily, with unwavering faith and unshakable hope in His goodness. You cherished the Father’s unchangeable character and submitted to His perfect wisdom. You trusted Him completely in all the circumstances of Your life, even when it was most painful. We honor You. You took refuge in the Father often in Your times of need and never turned toward false gods. Because of Your obedience we have strong encouragement to hope in spite of our continuing weakness. We worship You. You continue to advocate our cause as our heavenly High Priest. We have no other hope, nor do we need one. We thank You. Accept our offerings of praise this morning. Amen.

You, Lord Jesus Christ, are the All-Mighty - our breathtaking and all-powerful Lord. You measure the waters in the hollow of Your hand. You weigh the mountains on scales. You stretch out the heavens like a curtain. Your immensity is impossible for us to comprehend. You make a way when there is no way. You are a prayer-hearing, prayer-answering, miracle-working God! Our nation's history gives testimony to Your strength to establish, preserve, and prosper us. You satisfy us as no one else ever could. We adore you. Amen.

This week’s prayer to keep us focused…
O holy God, we praise You as the One who declares Your greatness and glory in Creation. The heavens that are pitched like a tent for the sun, speak of Your vastness. The sun that never ceases to rise, then set, speaks of Your faithfulness. The billions of stars that sparkle like diamonds in the dark expanse of the night sky, reveal Your vast, personal knowledge, as You call each one by name. The boundaries on the shore that You set for the waves of the sea, speak of Your laws that are for our good. The sparrows that You see fall, and the lilies that You clothe, point to Your compassionate, individualized, personal attention. It is with joy we worship You this day. Amen.

This week’s prayer to keep us focused…
Freedom-loving God, we are grateful for our heritage and praise You that in Your great wisdom You raised up America for Your purposes. You placed good intentions in the hearts of fallible, imperfect men and women and much has pleased You over the centuries. You took wrong motives and sinful deeds that did not please You, and forced them to work for Your glory (as only You can). And here we are. Still with good intentions, wrong motives and sinful deeds. And still being used for Your glory. We praise You! We marvel at Your patience. We bask in Your love. We watch with joy and anticipation as You continue to work through jars of clay. Glorify Yourself in our nation, through our nation and in spite of our nation. Hallelujah! Amen.

This week’s prayer to keep us focused…
O Sovereign One, Your word tells us that You took our sins far away—as far as the east is from the west. What a wonderful Scapegoat You were! We thank You. We praise You. We worship You, the Lamb who was slain, who alone is worthy of all praise. Our hearts yearn for the day when we will be gathered around Your Throne and see with our own eyes the angels and people whose numbers are too great to count, and hear with our own ears the multitude crying out in such unity that they sound as one loud voice… Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise. The entire Universe will roar in acclamation and praise of You! But we choose not to wait. We worship You now. May our efforts bring You the glory You so richly deserve. Amen.
