This morning, we were reminded that being tired and being at rest are not the same thing.
So many of us have become accustomed to running. Carrying burdens we were never meant to carry. Trying to hold together things only God can sustain. Mistaking anxiety for responsibility and exhaustion for faithfulness.
But Psalm 23:2 reminds us of a beautiful truth:
“He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.”
The Shepherd doesn’t shame exhausted sheep. He settles them. He provides for them. He refreshes them.
You don’t have to shepherd yourself.
You have a Shepherd.
And if you walked in weary today, our prayer is that you walked out remembering this: your rest isn’t found in the absence of trouble. It’s found in the presence of the Shepherd.
Thank you to everyone who worshiped with us this morning. If you need prayer this week, please reach out. You don’t have to carry it alone.
