Today the U.S. Church begins a nine-day novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus... nine days of prayer drawn from the Litany of the Sacred Heart, leading to a historic moment. On June 11, the U.S. bishops will consecrate our nation to the Heart of Christ, marking the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

We invite you to pray along with us, beginning today.

🎓 GRADUATES, WE WANT TO CELEBRATE YOU! 🎓

Join us at St. Stephen the First Martyr Catholic Church as we honor all of our graduates and celebrate this special milestone together in faith and community.

We will have two Graduation Masses:
- Saturday, June 6 at 5:00 PM
- Sunday, June 7 at 1:00 PM

Whether you are graduating from kindergarten, high school, college, or beyond, we would love for you to be a part of this special celebration.

Please call the Parish Office to sign up and be recognized during the Masses. We look forward to celebrating your hard work and accomplishments! 🎉

We have GREAT news!! 🎉

Join us this summer at St. Stephen the First Martyr for an exciting 3 day fun filled event for children ages 5–12!

Each evening will be packed with fun activities, engaging lessons, crafts, music and dance, water games, stories, prayer, and so much more! This is a wonderful opportunity for children to grow in faith, make new friends, and create unforgettable memories.

📅 Dates: June 17–19
⏰ Time: 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM

It is an honor to announce that our very own Deacon Bob has been named Deacon of the Year for 2025–2026. We are so proud of his hard work, dedication, and the countless ways he serves everyone both within and outside of our parish community. This is a very well-deserved honor. He was presented the award at the Knights of Columbus State Convention on Friday May 15th. The award was presented by the NC Knights of Columbus State Officers, State Chaplain and Bishop Zarama.

Es un honor anunciar que nuestro propio Diácono Bob ha sido nombrado Diácono del Año para el periodo 2025-2026. Estamos sumamente orgullosos de su trabajo, su dedicación y las innumerables formas en que sirve a todos, tanto dentro como fuera de nuestra comunidad parroquial. Este es un honor sumamente merecido. Se le entrego su reconocimiento en la Convención Estatal de los Caballeros de Colón, celebrada el viernes 15 de mayo. El premio fue entregado por los oficiales estatales de los Caballeros de Colón de Carolina del Norte, el Capellán Estatal y el Obispo Zarama.
