Prayer - is not an extra option nor is it a last resort when all the other methods have failed.
When a man works, man works. But when a man prays, God works.

I don’t know “often”…..

Did you know there's a prayer called the "I don't know" prayer? It's very spiritual. You just go off somewhere quiet and hidden and you walk right up to the heart of God and you say, "I don't know."
I don't know where to go from here.
I don't know what is happening or why this is happening.
I don't know how to process this.
I don't know what to do with these emotions.
I don't know how to handle this situation.
It covers a lot of I don't knows.
And then with whatever dusty little sand grain of faith you have left, you say,
"But You know."
And you leave it there.
God most certainly hears that prayer. ♥️

If Jesus walked up to you and said "I have 2,000 acres of prime farm land. All you have to do is take it and it's yours, you can farm it and manage it how you see fit." Would you take it? Of course you would! You would be crazy if you didn't, right? You would immerse yourself in it, constantly planning on how you will manage it, what to plant, and when to plant. Jesus is standing in front of you offering you ETERNAL life, All we have to do is take it! All we have to do is believe that Jesus died for us on the cross and with him and our sins died too. It's free for the taking. It's not a lease there isn't any payment! All you have to do is take it!

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me." -Revelation 3:20

We will never out serve Jesus, but we can serve and serve and pray and serve……and show his people how much they are loved…..

“I am among you as one who serves” (Luke 22:27).

Lord Jesus, serving us... it’s all you’ve ever done—starting with the grace of being our Creator. You created us and the entire cosmos (Col.1:16; John1:3), and you now sustain everything by the power of your word—things above, on, and below the earth (Heb.1:3). You are the ruler of the kings of the earth, all cicadas, and every crisis (Rev.1:5).
You are currently making all things wondrously new, and will finish with a flourish at your return, when you usher in the new heaven and new earth (Rev. 21:1-5). And on that Day, everything will be summed up in you (Eph. 1:10)—for you are the reason, meaning, and goal of everything that exists.
And as our Redeemer, you took the lowest place imaginable in life. Servant of servants—the promised “Servant of the Lord”—the “Yes” to every promise God has made (1Cor1:30). You didn’t come to us to be served, but to serve, and to give (your) life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:25). Even today, from our Father’s right hand, you are serving us—“continuously living to intercede for us—saving us completely” (Heb.7:25). Hallelujah, and thank you.
Even when you return, Jesus you will take the posture of our servant-Bridegroom, have us sit down, recline at the table of grace, where you will come and wait on us (Luke 12:37). Stunning, breathtaking, awe-fueling... Jesus, how can this be? You are coming back to serve us.
How then should we respond to your glory, grace, and servant love? By loving you with everything we have and are—by adoring and serving your people until the Day of all things new. Hallelujah, what a Savior! Hallelujah, what a salvation. So Very Amen.

Jesus Is Actually Praying This for Us

“(Father) I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them.” John 17:13

Dear Jesus, how profound, how astonishing, how transforming... you don’t just pray for our joy, but that we would have the full measure of your joy. Though the complete answer to this prayer awaits your return, even now you are praying for our growth in joy. Topple our doubts. Grant us a fresh openness to the Spirit’s work in our hearts.
Why do we need your joy? Because “the joy of the Lord is our strength” (Neh. 8:10), and we need all the strength you’ll give us, Jesus. Strength to live and love to your glory. Strength to forgive as you have forgiven us. Strength to believe the Gospel when our shame and fears feel more real than your grace.
Your joy isn’t dependent on circumstances, and it co-exists well with sadness. For you were both “anointed with the oil of joy” (Heb.1:9), and “a man of sorrows and very familiar with our grief” (Isa. 53:3). This comforts us deeply, Jesus, for sometimes we feel pressure to get over stuff and be up all the time.
Though it’s so much more, your joy brings a settled disposition of peace and delight—a humble certainty that our Father loves us as much as he loves you, that he is sovereign over everything, and that you are coming back for us with the unbridled, unfiltered joy of a loving Bridegroom. Hallelujah, and please do that soon! So Very Amen.

Sometimes, God asks you to wait.

To quiet your heart.
To simply be still.
To let Him go to work.
In a way you could never imagine.

Sometimes, it feels as though God doesn't hear your prayers.

You pray.
And pray.
And pray again.
With seemingly no response.

Time suddenly feels like it's running out.
Hope begins to fade, as does your trust in Him.
Sometimes, it seems as though God has forgotten you.
Abandoned you.

Left without saying "goodbye".
Hidden in plain sight.

As you frantically search for any sign of Him.
And your heart screams for Him to remember you.
Wondering if He even remembers you.

It can be so unbelievably hard to be patient, especially when you are too preoccupied in worry and in your own plans; when your entire being is fighting against the waiting, to instead push forward with life, full-steam ahead.

And yet, what He asks of you never wavers: "Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for Him." (Psalm 37:7)

The entire concept of waiting goes against everything the world puts before us...
..right now.....immediate.....on-demand...

Being human, and so incredibly connected to our human world, it is almost impossible to go against the grain, and stop yourself from running, full-force ahead...toward your own worldly plans.

Yet, what if.....what if God's plan is for you TO WAIT ON HIM?

What if.....you pursued God's heart even more, and realized, that more often than not, the waiting is not only a time that brings forth unexpected blessings, but also helps you to plant your deepest roots of faith, if you simply allow them to grow in Him?

What if.....this time of waiting is actually an integral part of God's plan for you? To refresh you, to teach you, to guide you, and especially, to prepare you for HIS future for you?

Waiting on God, and His timing, can be so incredibly hard and uncomfortable. But, it can also be so, so very worth it, if you can reteach yourself to allow it to be just that...a time to grow, a time to renew...a time to prepare and hopefully expect.

For, it is how you handle your times of waiting that truly shows those around you just exactly in Whom you place your trust and hope. For, when you trust in Him, He will not fail to give you all the courage, tolerance and patience you need.

Because, if you truly believe in Him, you can also believe in His goodness. In His faithfulness. In His covenants. And in His perfect, great and true plans for each one of us.

" ‘For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.' " (Jeremiah 29:11)

In your times of waiting, may you never forget to glorify the same exact Father Who created you...fearfully and wonderfully made, you...from mere dust...
..every fiber of your being.....every hair on your head.....every single beat of your heart...

For His goodness will always endure. He loves you with a love we can only imagine. And within that love, He provides you with seasons of waiting. It remains up to you to perceive them as either a gift, or as a burden; trusting in Him and His bountiful blessings, even when your circumstances seem out of your control and not in your favor.

Heavenly Father,
I trust in You. Please remind me that trusting in You means to fully surrender, not just when life is easy and pleasant. "As for me, I trust in You, Lord. You are my God. My life is in Your hands." (Psalm 31:14-15).
Amen ♥️
