The United Methodist Book of Resolutions reads:

"The progress or lack of progress toward just and affordable distribution of clean water for all starts with a principled acknowledgment of water as a human right. This right to water needs to be coupled with strong political accountability that adequately monitors the just implementation of the right to water. This requires political will from communities and governments."

From Below: Rising Together for Coalfield Justice & WVUMC Disaster Response Ministries are working together to provide water trailers and bottled water to coalfield communities but the long term solution to this crisis is public water infrastructure funding. Help us urge lawmakers to introduce and pass the Coalfield Clean Water Act which provides $250M toward coalfield water projects!
