Psalm 119:114 NKJV
You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word.

We all need a place to hide sometimes, or at least a place where we can be alone from temptations. What better place can we be than alone with our God? We might want to turn away from God when we feel like we just can’t let go of sin in our life or sinful thoughts, but God already knows about all of that even before we were born, and He still chose us and sent His Son to die for those sins. We have hope in Christ of our salvation and God will cleanse us of all our sins. We have His word on this. When we are alone with God we can confess our sins and ask Him to take them away and He will, we just need to trust Him with this. We like everything to be instantaneously, but God has His own timing and reasons for when and how He does things. In the meantime it might sound crazy, but God can use our situations to lead others to Christ as they see us struggling, yet hoping in Christ to lead us through each day, trust in the work Jesus did on the cross and His resurrection. Amen 🙏 God loves you and me and our hope is in Christ not our abilities to keep the law, let God do all the work just stay in His light. Tell others what Jesus is doing in your life. God bless each of you.. ❤️

Colossians 3:23 NKJV
And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,

Happy Labor Day weekend. A time to rest and celebrate the ending of a very hot summer. When the holiday is over and it’s time to get back to work, let’s remember that God is with us in everything we do. Therefore, we should work as if God is the one we work for. That means no one has to look over our shoulder to ensure we are doing the job. If you’re retired, like me, you probably still have work to do that God has given you. Like serving more diligently in your church, or in spending time with your grandchildren, teaching them about your faith and encouraging them to call upon the Lord. Wherever you are in your life, don’t forget we can serve God in everything we do. God wants to be involved in every part of our lives, but too often we try to leave God behind as we go about the business of our day, only thinking about Him when we are at church, Bible study, or our quiet time in the morning. However, we need to be in Christ at all times and in continuous prayer as we do whatever the Lord has given us to do. Amen 🙏 We have been sealed with the Holy Spirit the moment we put our faith in Jesus, and this same Spirit will teach us as we read God’s word and guide us throughout our day. We just have to remember Him as we pray. Share your faith through word and deed, and people will know you by your love. God bless each of you. ❤️

Psalm 119:105 NKJV
Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.

We live in a day and time where we have a tremendous amount of information at our fingertips. Unfortunately, a lot of this information is misinformation and very misleading. God’s word, however, remains the same and has stood the test of time. We just need to read it ourselves instead of listening to what others tell us it says. How can we know who God is and the truth about sin if we don’t have something we can trust in giving us accurate information, so that we can walk in the light of His truth? Others may tell us the truth about Jesus being the only way we can receive God’s grace, but we can’t know for sure if we are following the right path unless we have the light of God’s word showing us the way. Amen 🙏 Many of us may have an internal reasoning that there is a God, but we should be grateful that our Lord has provided us with His written word to teach and correct us as we walk in the light of His truth. Don’t be shy about sharing your faith with others so that they may understand God’s grace and know the Lord Jesus Christ. God bless each of you. ❤️

Psalm 119:160 NKJV
The entirety of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.

I can’t understand everything that is written down in God’s word, and many times I don’t understand why God does what He does. But I believe what God says and I trust Him because He is a God who has shown me mercy and kindness when I didn’t deserve it. He deserves our praise and worship, and He will teach those who love Him how to be obedient to His word. He is a good Father and we can talk to Him and He will hear us. He knows the struggles we go through and the heartaches we have. All of us have temptations that can lead us away from obeying God, but we don’t have to face those temptations alone. We can bring them to the Lord in prayer. God is ready and willing to help us in our time of weakness and He can make us stronger. Amen 🙏 God didn’t call me to understand everything, only to believe in the name of His Son Jesus and to put my trust in what Jesus did on the cross. Jesus paid the penalty for all of my disobedience and sinful desires. We love Him because He loved us first. If we really love our Lord we must learn to love one another, and we have a Father to teach us how to love. Start to love others by telling them what Jesus did for you and that He can do the same for them. God bless each of you. ❤️

Psalm 118:5 NKJV
I called on the LORD in distress; The LORD answered me and set me in a broad place.

Many of us don’t turn to the Lord and find salvation in Christ until we have found ourselves in a desperate state of mind. Maybe we feel hopeless and for some reason we stop and call upon the Lord; remembering something we heard or read in the Bible. I am thankful for the things that have gone wrong in my life because they brought me to a point where I was hungry for the word of God and to spend time with Him and to fellowship with other believers. I remember asking the Lord to place me in a church body where I could be with others who prayed and read their Bibles. I’ve never seen the Lord move so fast in answering a prayer before. I had already found salvation in Christ, but I had turned away from church for many reasons. When I called upon the Lord, He was there and heard my prayer. Why do we often wait until things go wrong in our life before we call out to God? Whatever is going on in our lives and wherever we stray, God is there, waiting for us to call upon His name. Amen 🙏 Just don’t wait too long because time is running out. Today is the day to repent and believe in the name of Jesus. Today is the day to share your faith in Christ with others. This is the day the Lord has made. God bless each of you. ❤️

Colossians 4:2 NKJV
Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving;

Prayer isn’t a last-minute plea for help; it’s a lifestyle. We should be praying at all times, seeking God throughout our day. Praying with our whole heart concerning everything going on in and around us. We need to be alert and constantly watching out for the temptations that come our way as well as watching with hope for the Lord’s return, or where He is working around us throughout our lives. We must be thankful for all the God has blessed us with both in this life and in the life that awaits us in glory. We should even be thankful for the hardships we go through in this life, knowing that God is increasing our faith and preparing us for greater things. Prayer is a time for us to not focus on the storm, but instead to focus on the One who is greater than the storm. Amen 🙏 We also have the Holy Spirit praying for us when we don’t know what to pray for. When we pray, it’s a no-lose situation because we are in the hands of our God, and He will bring us through any situation we are in. We just need to trust Him no matter how it turns out. God will hear our prayers, and He will answer our prayers. Can we trust Him and accept the answer He gives us? Share your faith and experiences with others who are struggling in their faith, or maybe they don’t know the Lord and they need to hear your story. God bless each of you. ❤️

James 3:8 NKJV
But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

Sometimes the hardest thing I have to do is just not speak. I’m naturally shy around people until I get familiar with them, and then I often speak before I think through what I should say. I think this happens to a lot of us; we say something in the moment that comes to our mind and don’t think anything of it until later. Someone who was hurt or angered by what we said then confronts us. Too often, by then, we don’t remember what we said or why we said it. There are times we must speak boldly to others about an issue going on or a sin they continue to commit that affects others, but for most of the time, our words should encourage one another and be of good cheer. How can we say blessings one moment and then hurtful things in the next moment? Many times, it might be best to keep our mouths shut until we have time to prayerfully consider what we should say. Amen 🙏 As we share our faith with others who don’t know the Lord, we must carefully consider how we talk to them. We want our witness to be a blessing for them, so that they might consider what the Lord has done for all who choose to believe in Jesus. Always, may we forgive those who have offended us and may they forgive us when we offend them. After all, we are the love of God with our whole heart and love one another. God bless each of you. ❤️

Ephesians 1:4 NKJV
just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,

Because of God’s love, He chose us to be holy and without blame. Even though we are a sinful and selfish group of people. We try to be good, or think we are good, only when we compare ourselves with those we think are truly evil, but we are all sinful when we compare ourselves to Jesus and the way He lived. Yet, God chose to love us before He created us, already having planned to redeem us after we committed the sins that all of us have in our lives, so that whosoever calls upon the Lord Jesus Christ would find salvation, the forgiveness of sin, and eternal life with God. Why would God do this? Well, why do we have children and decide to love them before they are born, knowing raising them will be difficult and they may choose to rebel against us one day? Because we desire to have children and we desire to have a relationship with those children even though it might cause grief, love is worth the effort. God desires a relationship with us and He chose to love us, knowing many would reject Him. We have sinned against a powerful and mighty God, but Jesus paid the penalty for our sins and the only reason He did was because God loves us. Amen 🙏 I never think I explain this as well as I would like to, but I must tell others about Jesus and His love for us. How about you? Do you love Jesus enough to tell a sinner about the gospel of Jesus? Jesus died for us while we were sinful and was buried, but He rose from the grave defeating death for all who believe in Him. We must tell everyone. God bless each of you. ❤️

Psalm 118:28-29 NKJV
You are my God, and I will praise You; You are my God, I will exalt You. [29] Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.

Sometimes I get busy doing things that must be done each day, and I forget to take the time to just recognize who God is. I mean I know who He is, but it’s easy to keep so busy at everything I do that I don’t stop, and just praise Him for who He is and all He has done. We should always take a moment at the beginning of each day and just enjoy the presence of the Lord, bowing down to Him and remembering all that He has done to bring us into a right relationship with Him. I pray that we all thank Him and remember the mercy we have received and just how wonderful and mighty our God is. Lift up your voice and sing praises to His name and love Him by being obedient to His word, knowing you are secure in His grace. Amen 🙏 There are many who don’t know Jesus, or they have a corrupt view of Him because they haven’t read the Bible. You might be the only believer they know or meet, so be a witness of the hope you have in the Lord Jesus. Let the light of God shine bright in your life and share what you know about Jesus with them. Pray for those lost in their sins. God bless each of you. ❤️

Psalm 31:7 NASB95
I will rejoice and be glad in Your lovingkindness, Because You have seen my affliction; You have known the troubles of my soul,

The Lord has seen all of our struggles that we have gone through. He has seen us at our worst and understands us better than we understand ourselves, and He loves us even when we have turned our backs to Him. How can such a holy and pure God be concerned about us when we have tried to push Him as far from our thoughts as possible? I don’t know the answer to that question, only that His word says He does love us and that anyone who calls upon the name of Jesus will be rescued from their sins and find forgiveness and eternal life. Even after these bodies we have return to dust, we will still have life in Christ and be resurrected one day. For now, God will teach us how to be obedient children and never give up on any of us who are in Jesus. Therefore, let us rejoice and be glad because we belong to the Lord our God. He has seen our pain and our weakness, and He has provided salvation for anyone willing to turn to Him and believe in the name of Jesus, His Son who died for us and rose from the grave, defeating death. Amen 🙏 Everyday is a day to sing praises to His name and to tell others about the hope we have in Jesus. No sin is too big, and no problem is too great. We just need to bring them before our Lord and watch what He can do. God bless each of you. ❤️
