Or Hadash, meaning “new light,” is a home for Jewish connection, for the sacred, for authenticity, for the seeker. We believe that we each hold a divine spark of light inside of us, whether we’re total novices in Jewish prayer and study or we come from years of experience. We are an egalitarian, conservative Jewish community in Atlanta, GA.

💙 We're proud to celebrate Or Hadash member Jonathon Cohen, who was recently featured in the Atlanta Jewish Times for his involvement in an inspiring collaboration between the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University and leading medical centers in Israel.

The partnership brings together researchers and physicians across borders to advance cancer treatment, share expertise, and improve outcomes for patients around the world.

At Or Hadash, we're continually inspired by the ways our members bring their passions, talents, and commitment to tikkun olam — repairing the world — into their work, community and the world.

Mazel tov to Jonathon and everyone involved in this meaningful effort.

Jewish tradition teaches us to say 100 blessings a day.

Not because life is perfect —
but because noticing goodness changes us.

Exhausted. Rain-soaked. Full hearts. 💙

More than 45 Or Hadashniks spent Shavuot and Memorial Day weekend at LimmudFest at Ramah Darom — learning, singing, praying, studying, schmoozing, hiking, laughing, and celebrating.

From late-night Torah study and spirited davening to song circles, board games, puddle jumping, and Havdalah complete with singing, dancing and s'mores, the weekend reminded us what makes Jewish community so meaningful: showing up together with warmth, curiosity, joy, and plenty of ruach.

We were proud to help lead services, meditation, music, learning, and community-building throughout the weekend — and even prouder to hear so many people reflect on the warmth and vibrancy of the Or Hadash community.

To everyone who shared the weekend with us: thank you. And to those meeting Or Hadash for the first time — we hope to see you soon for Shabbat, Kiddush, learning, and community here in Sandy Springs.

The spark is vibrant and we'd love to welcome you.

Lehitra’ot -- See you soon.

Sometimes belonging starts with a spark ✨

Sometimes it's through a song. Sometimes it's through a smile. Other times it's from a moment that reminds you that you're exactly where you're meant to be.

At Or Hadash, we believe community starts with connection. If you’re searching for that spark, come experience Shabbat with us.

Kabbalat Shabbat - Fridays at 6:30pm
Shabbat Morning Service - Saturdays at 9:15am

💪📜 May Hagbah Challenge: Push-Up Edition

If you thought lifting the Torah was the challenge… today we’re adding push-ups. 😅

Rabbi Lauren and Dr. Amy are continuing their “training arc” — building strength, focus, and a little endurance for the art of hagbah (lifting the Torah).

Because sometimes spiritual practice looks like tradition…
and sometimes it looks like push-ups in the shul. 💙

Join them — move your body, shake off your week, and build a little strength with us.

Word of the month: Kehillah ... because May is about showing up for one another.

Kehillah means community — not just gathering in the same space, but belonging to one another.

At Or Hadash, kehillah looks like Shabbat hugs, lifelong friendships, and showing up when it matters. 💙

What does community mean to you?
