If you are unable to join us for our in-person time of Worship and the Word together - we are praying for you and hope to see you sometime soon!

We are continuing to focus on what it means to live out our lives spiritually asleep - spiritually drowsy and groggy - spiritually sleepwalking through the day-to-day of our lives – and not been wide awake to the work that God wants to do in our lives and the work that He is doing in the world all around us. And we know that God desperately wants us to be engaged in it all. The hope is that we are realizing more and more that following Jesus means that we are WIDE AWAKE spiritually – giving our focus, our commitment, of our entire selves – the best of our hearts, our minds, our bodies – to our relationship with Jesus and to our calling to Love God and Love others the way that Jesus has loved us.

We are once again looking to the Book of Acts together this morning. We’re are continuing to see that it was “Go Time.” It was NOT a time to be living for Jesus in a way that was half-awake or half-hearted. Followers of Jesus needed to be wide awake – because God’s plan was for the life-changing message of Jesus – His teaching and His example - to continue to spread through every person who became part of the church – by the power of Holy Spirit of God living in them

Let’s think about that this morning together as we take a look at the first part of ACTS – CHAPTER 6.

Let’s be challenged together to pursue more in our relationship with Jesus - and in our serving Him.

This past Sunday was Kids Serve Sunday! 🤍 The kids did an amazing job pulling weeds, mulching and planting flowers! 🌸🌱

If you are unable to join us for our in-person time of Worship and the Word together - we are praying for you and hope to see you sometime soon!

God is MORE than able to continually accomplish MORE in our lives spiritually.. And THAT should encourage us and motivate us to commit to doing the things that we need to do for our spiritual growth.

God ALSO has the power and ability to do MORE in and through His church. Even more that we can imagine, or plan, or come up with as we serve him and do ministry as the church. God can do MORE in creating unity. God can do MORE in connecting us and growing our relationships with other believers. God can do MORE through the church by caring, and loving, and serving others. God can do MORE through the church to meet needs and to share the Gospel message of Jesus with others.

And because of God’s desire and ability to empower the church to do MORE – it should also be what we want – and what we want to be a part of. We shouldn’t be satisfied, or complacent, or satisfied – to the point where God’s church has kind of become just comfortable and convenient. We should expect and want God to accomplish MORE through the church. We should trust and have faith that God CAN do MORE – if we are willing to join God on mission and give Him the chance to work through us as His church.

Let’s think about that this morning together. Let’s be challenged together to pursue more in our relationship with Jesus - and in our serving Him.

When it comes to our relationship with Jesus – when it comes to our spiritual life, growth and maturity – when it comes to living out the faith that we say we have – there are areas and there are times that we are honestly missing it. Times when we are “half-living” it. Times when we are unaware of the spiritual things of transformation and obedience that God wants us to be paying attention to and that He wants us to be participating in. There are things that He wants us to be a part of – there is work He wants to do in us – and through us. But He can’t because we are living like we are asleep.

Let’s think about that this morning together. Let’s be challenged together to pursue more in our relationship with Jesus - and in our serving Him.
