We are as sick as our SECRETS..
The THINGS we can’t talk about own us…
LIES and SECRETS are like cancer in the soul…
Shame dies when STORIES are told in safe places…

Principle 4 is vital to healing.
We don’t need to tell the whole group…but we do need to get honest with ourselves, with God and with at least one other person we trust. Our recovery, our lives, depend on it!

God never wastes a hurt! What we think disqualifies us or makes unacceptable or unloveable is the very thing God will use to bring glory to his name and allow us to “comfort others with the same comfort he has given us”

Sometimes there is shame about where we’ve been and what we’ve been through. But the same power that has healed our wounds, can heal our shame and we can offer help to those that are trapped in pain, in hurts, and hang-ups. With the same comfort and caring God showed us, we can light the way to freedom for others.
