Today is Pentecost. Pentecost is the day when the disciples received the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is often symbolized as fire. In the wider church tradition red is used on this day to symbolize the Holy Spirit. If you would like, you can join me in wearing red today.

Also tomorrow is Memorial Day. The last several years I have been asked to offer a prayer at the Glendale National Cemetery for their Memorial Day Service, it starts at 9am. It is a great way to honor the sacrifice of so many. After there is a light breakfast at the Glendale
Ruritan building.
